One Step to Fixing Hair Damage {AD}

 If you have damaged hair, hair that is in need of some extra TLC, then you need to keep reading. Whether it’s heat and styling damage, or from colour treatment, this new product is the secret to fixing your hair in a single step.

The K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask is the newest haircare addition to the My Haircare and Beauty site and it’s so good.

Let me introduce you - K18 is a patented leave-in mask, backed with 10 years of bioscience research. It has been designed to reconnect keratin chains that have been broken down due to chemical, mechanical and environmental factors. The K18 Peptide was patented after analysing 1,242 decapeptides that cover the entire genome of human keratin proteins.What you are left with, after using, is soft, shiny and strong hair that feels brand new. It isn’t just a temporary fix, but is the first product of it’s kind to use biomimetics to reconnect keratin chains.

If you’ve struggled with damaged hair before, I know you’re probably thinking ‘it’s too good to be true!’, but just hear me out. When you first get this product you use it for 4-6 consecutive washes (depending on how damaged your hair is, you might need less or more), and then as needed, probably every 3-4 washes after that.

So how do you use it...?

Step 1: Shampoo your hair as normal, BUT don’t condition.

Step 2: Towel dry your hair thoroughly.

Step 3: Apply evenly through your hair, ONE pump at a time.

Step 4: Leave in for four minutes to active before drying or styling.

I wasn’t sure how this would go for me. It was so hard to not condition my hair because I LOOOOVE my conditioner and was so worried that my hair would be stringy, dry and just plain gross after not using conditioner, but I had to trust the system. I also would strongly recommend that you learn from my mistakes and make sure you only apply ONE pump at a time. Use less product rather than more. Because I have a lot of hair, I almost always need the maximum amount of product, however this one was definitely not one of those products. In the end, I found three pumps was about how much I needed, and I just gently massaged it through my hair until it’s evenly spread through. I also don’t apply too much to my roots as I do have oilier hair.

My first experience, because I applied WAYYYY to much left my hair thick and sticky. Like I hadn’t washed the conditioner out of my hair. However, once I got the hang of how much to apply (less, ALWAYS less!) my hair was SO soft and SO shiny after drying. Now that I’ve finished my first cycle of using it, I have definitely noticed that my hair is stronger and just looks generally more healthy. I feel like it’s easier to manage and I’ve had less fall out as well. The compliments I’ve had on my hair this week say it all I think, especially when Dave looked at me and went ‘you have really nice hair...’

The K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask is now available at My Haircare and Beauty for $94.50. If you are curious to see how it works, head over to my Instagram and check out my IGTV where I show you each step!
