Treat Your Skin : Esmi Skin Minerals

We all struggle with skin concerns. You all know about my struggles with acne throughout the past couple of years and I struggled finding anything that would work and actually help my skin. Evette found a similar problem amongst her clients. Out of this, Esmi Skin Minerals was born.

Evette has worked in the beauty industry for 10 years and has experienced numerous complaints from clients that the make up designed to care for problem skin didn’t give the coverage they wanted, so instead, they would apply makeup that gave great coverage but suffocated their skin. Out of this, the iconic Esmi Liquid Foundation was born. Since then, the brand has gone on to create numerous products to treat and care for your skin, including the Skin Treats that I am going to be talking about today.

For those of you who haven't heard of Esmi's Skin Treats before, they are a range of 6 different products designed to help treat and target different skin concerns. While I have had some of these sitting my drawer for a while, I have only just recently got stuck into using them. After sharing about them a little bit on my stories, I have had endless questions about them so I thought I'd just share about them here.

Esmi products are heaven for the skin and are all completely Australian made. They are designed for all skin types and are Cruelty-Free and Vegan as well. The Skin Treats retail for $65 each and you can purchase these from the Esmi Skin website, Make Up Cartel, Ziani Beauty and a number of other natural skincare sites as well.

The Skin Treats range consists of 6 different serums designed for a range of difference skin concerns and needs. You can use the serums by themselves or in conjunction with each other. I have been using these in conjunction with each other for the past few weeks.

Redness, Acne and Sensitivity : Anti-Redness Minty Green Smoothie*

Cool, calm and strengthen red skin with the esmi Anti-Redness Minty Green Smoothie. This treat is ideal to use whilst undergoing laser treatment or diathermy as an at home daily treatment to fight redness, hydrate and re-condition your skin. Your skin is sure to be energised with the daily minty aroma.

This little green bottle of goodness was the first Skin Treat I was really drawn to. As you know, I have been struggling with acne for a while now and because of this I have quite a bit of redness in my skin. I find the problem with most acne treatments is they are quite harsh on the skin. This gem is not one of those products. While it is designed to be used alongside laser treatment to help calm the skin and reduce redness, I have found it works extremely well with my blemishes. Skin starting to use it, my skin is looking less red, is calmer and hydrated. I can see this being the perfect serum for skin sensitivity as well. Best of all it smells minty and fresh, making it the perfect pick me up in the morning!

Dullness and Pigmentation : Pomegranate Brightening Serum*

Pomegranate Brightening Serum is infused with Q10 spheres which energise the skin and feed your cells for their optimum health. Contains a range of tyrosinase inhibitors, which help prevent excess pigmentation. Filled with antioxidants and skin lightening peptides, the ingredients are suitable for all skin types.

I will admit, this is the serum I have used the least out of all of them. Not because I don't like it, mostly because I have had other skin needs that I want to deal with first. Now that I have cleared up most of my blemishes, I am planning on starting to add this into my routine more regularly. This serum is great for giving your skin that quick boost when it is looking flat and dull (which through winter is a big problem for me!). I have always really enjoyed Q10 for brightening the skin, everyone that takes Q10 tablets have raved about how they help the skin, so having it in skincare is a win as well. I am going to be testing it out to see how it goes with my pigmentation now that my blemishes are mostly cleared up, I am hoping that it could be a saviour in this department.

Hydration, Hydration, Hydration : Hyaluronic Acid Serum*

The Hyaluronic Hydrating Serum is perfect for all skin types, including dry to oily and young to mature. It absorbs quickly into the skin and is perfect to apply under moisturiser and makeup! We suggest pairing our 24K Gold Nourishing Oil Treat if you have a dry or combination dry skin.

Anyone that has used or heard of hyaluronic acid will sing it's praises for hydration and the way it gets deep into the skin to help increase moisture levels while also helping to improve fine lines and wrinkles. This little gem of a serum contains all the hyaluronic acid you need. As someone with dry skin, this has been an absolute saviour through winter. I apply this mostly in the morning (because I prefer using an oil at night), to help give my skin a quick hydration boost that lasts well underneath make up. This serum is a gel like formula that sinks into the skin quickly, leaving basically no residue, but leaving your skin feeling fresh and hydrated. It is a serum that would be amazing for all skin types as well because it's not going to give you that oily residue (for oilier skin types) but will leave your skin feeling refreshed and comfortably hydrated. This is definitely the Skin Treat I have been using the most lately!

Fine Lines, Wrinkles and Mature Skin : Golden Anti-Ageing Serum*

Golden Anti-Ageing Serum is enriched with unique Vitamin E spheres which burst onto the skin when the serum is applied, helping to fight free radicals and ageing. Perfect for all skin types, from dry to oily and young to mature, its gel-like consistency will absorb into the skin quickly.

Now, I don't really have a lot of concerns about fine lines and wrinkles at the moment. I am still at the age where this is not too much of a problem for me. However, I have still been using this serum quite regularly recently. Instead of using an eye cream, I have been using this. Bet you didn't think of that! I have been having some problems with dryness and irritation under my eyes throughout winter and have been struggling with eye creams that don't irritate my skin. I thought I would try this little guy out as an eye cream and I haven't looked back. It is hydrating, plumping and soothing to my eyes and has been doing wonders for me. I have found my eye area looking less dark and has been so soft. It sits beautifully under make up as well (which is another problem I had with other eye creams). I have actually been really pleasantly surprised by it!

Exfoliate, Treat and Smooth : Detoxifying Exfoliating Charcoal Serum*

Gradually exfoliate, smooth skin and draw out impurities with esmi Detoxifying Exfoliating Charcoal Serum, Using this regularly reduces dead skin on the surface can assist in reducing the appearance of blackhead and increase the effectiveness of other active ingredients.

This is probably the Skin Treat I get the most questions about. It is a very interesting little product. Think exfoliant, mask and serum all rolled into one and this is the love child of that relationship. This little serum contains charcoal, which is perfect for detoxifying and reducing acne and bacteria build up, along with 5% Glycolic Acid (my fave acid!), 10% Fruit Acid Combination and 5% Lactic Acid. It's an AHA's lovers dream child. The Charoal Serum comes with a brush that you use to apply the serum. Essentially, you buff it into the skin, leaving it on for roughly 5 minutes (I tend to apply this at night, then floss and clean my teeth and apply a body moisturiser to give you a rough time frame) before taking the brush again, wetting it slightly and massaging it around the face to remove any softened dead skin cells before washing off. I now use this 2-3 times a week and have definitely started to notice an improvement in my skin. My skin is clearer, my spots are less frequent and the texture is much softer and more even. This little guy is an under dog but I think it's become a quick favourite for me and I cannot recommend it enough.

Hydrate, Nourish and Treat : 24k Gold Nourishing Oil*

The esmi 24K Gold Nourishing Oil is designed to create the optimum nourishing experience for your skin. Enriched with 24-carat gold leaf, this luxury ingredient can assist with increasing skin elasticity, improving blood circulation, slowing down depleting collagen levels and has anti-inflammatory properties. This oil is perfect for combination to dry skin, and for use on your face, neck, and decolletage.

This little wonder oil has so many good things packed inside, including - coconut, jojoba, avocado AND rosehip oil, ylang ylang and geranium, as well as 24k gold flakes. It is designed to lock in moisture, boost antixodiants in your skin, reduce inflammation and calm your senses. It also assists with increasing skin elasticity and slowing down depleting collagen levels. It can be used in a number of ways - you could use this in conjunction with other skin treats as a treatment oil to increase hydration (underneath a moisturiser), you could use it as the final step in your skincare routine (as a moisturiser) or you could use it by itself to help treat, calm and hydrate your skin. It is basically an all in one product. I use this as night, after my other skin treats, before my moisturiser and I love how it leaves my skin. Come morning my skin is hydrated, soft and looking glowy. It doesn't leave my skin with a thick, oily residue after applying either, which I have found other oils can. It is just the perfect little skincare boost.

There you go my friends, a bit of a run down of each of the 6 Skin Treats that Esmi has to offer you and what each one can be used for. I hope this has helped to explain them all a little better and answer some of your questions about them. If there are a couple Skin Treats that you are after, Esmi also has some great value bundles where you can get three skin treats to target particular skin concerns (hydration, blemishes, brightness and anti-wrinkle) or you can go the whole hog and buy all 6

If you're still uncertain about the products, definitely check out some of the results stories people have shared on their Instagram, and if you don't believe them, then I'll leave you with this. Before I started using these Skin Treats in my routine, my skin was starting to slowly spiral out of control again. My blemishes were back and worse then ever and I was, once again, at a loss with what to do. While I am still using some of my other trusty products, these have done me and my skin wonders and my skin is looking better than it has since the wedding. I have been nothing but impressed and I love knowing that these have only ingredients that are going to be good for my skin.

Have you tried the Esmi Skin Treats before? I'd love to hear about which is your favourite or which you would love to try! Let me know in the comments xx
