Designer Op Shop Emporium

Those who have spent a lot of time in Canberra will be familiar with Braddon's iconic Designer Op Shop. Mother and daughter duo Taylor and Sharyn Pitsilos recently moved and expanded the store and I was lucky enough to get an inside look at the launch night on Friday night.

Designer Op Shop Emporium provides an easy and convenient way to purchase pre-loved and vintage designer clothing, glass and homewares at an affordable price. Their new and improved store has something for everyone. They have a wide range of stock from ladies daywear, evening wear and accessories all in excellent condition. What sets their new Emporium apart from their original, smaller store is that they are bringing together
people who often work in isolation. Not only will you be able to shop designer vintage finds, but also a number of small local brands. It is safe to say that this will be the new centre of Canberra vintage fashion and homeware.

The brand new store, located in Fyshwick, is so much larger than their original store front. With gorgeous chandeliers, neon signs and the most amazing chairs you have ever seen, it is a beautiful space with the classiest vintage vibes. You can find everything you could want inside - vintage glassware and homeware. Shoes, coats, skirts, tops and every other item of clothing you could ever want. Then there is the gorgeous jewellery pieces. Everything you could ever want! And that's even without the other vendors that have joined the Designer Op Shop Emporium.

Also inside the space there are a number of smaller vendors selling their pieces as well. Rachel from Saint Valentine has also opened her second space inside the new DOSE. Pick up posy's and bouquets, house plants, and of course all of the homewares and unique finds that she has in her store and more. You will find her iconic print wall, with pieces from Paris Lomé that you can purchase. Head outside into the courtyard to find even more house plants to make any plant lover happy. She has Endless Candles Mary Grace. She is already planning on running workshops in the new space.

There are also beautiful pieces from Royalla Haus, an exclusive boutique exhibiting some of Australia's unique jewellery and fashion designers. Beautiful handmade ceramics from Plants, Light and Space Studio, Lucy Gemma and Penelope Boyd. Purchase vintage and contemporary homewares from The Modern Object. Then there are the gorgeous bespoke linen cushions from Luxe and Beau

The mix of vintage and contemporary inside this space gives it the most unique character. Taylor and Sharyn have put a lot of thought into not only the design, but also the vendors and pieces that they stock inside the shop. They have taken op shopping to a new level and I am in love. Well done ladies! You have absolutely nailed it and the store is incredible! If you are in Canberra you must stop by the Designer Op Shop Emporium.
