My mum was a Nutrimetics consultant growing up, so the very first skincare I ever used was from Nutrimetics (throw back Thursday? What an appropriate upload day!!) While she still loves Nutrimetics whole heartedly, I stopped using their products years ago, choosing to try different brands instead. I recently received a couple of new Nutrimetics products in the mail though, and thought it was about time that I revisited the brand again.
For those of you who have never heard of Nutrimetics before, they are a beauty company dedicated to the empowerment of others. Their passion is to make a difference in the lives of others through their Business Opportunity, which you can be apart of by being a consultant. They have skincare, make up, body care, home care and also health and wellbeing products. I have being using three of their Ultra Care+ skincare products recently, from their treatments range.
Clinically
proven to retain skin moisture over one third longer.* Locks in a
reservoir of moisture 1,000 times its own weight, to keep skin supple
and hydrated. This light, oil-free serum attracts and binds continuous
hydration to the skin and prevents moisture loss, smoothing the
complexion's appearance, keeping it looking fresh and soft, with
long-lasting moisture.
Mum,
who is still the Nutrimetics lover of the family (I'm being converted,
don't you worry) was very jealous when she discovered I had this product
in my stash. She claims that it is her favourite skincare product ever!
She regularly buys it when it's on sale, keeping a stash for a rainy
day. It's a big claim, so I was excited to try it.
It is a really lightweight serum that contains Hyaluronic Acid (my winter favourite this year), Rhubarb Root Extract and Sugar Complex and is designed to smooth the complexion's appearance, all while providing long-lasting moisture. The lightweight texture had me a little concerned that it would not give me the hydration I need for my desperately dry skin, but I was actually really pleasantly surprised. I applied about a 20 cent piece size (or a little bit less) to my whole face and it instantly soaked into my skin, leaving my face feeling hydrated but almost like I had put nothing on my skin. I haven't found a serum that I can use through winter that does that - leaves my skin feeling like I haven't applied anything, but also feeling hydrated.
It is a really lovely serum, while I wouldn't use it by itself on my particularly dry days, but using this in combination with the booster (which you can read about next) has been amazing and has probably saved my skin more than once through winter. It's definitely a product I am going to continue using through the warmer months though, to ensure my skin is always hydrated and happy.
A
drink of water for thirsty skin. Ultra Care+ Aqua Supply Booster is
infused with a Hydrating Complex to combat water loss and skin ageing.
It forms a protective film to ensure active ingredients are delivered to
the skin to boost hydration, while Amino Acids firm, giving the skin a
plumper, youthful appearance.
Ultra Care+ Clarifying Treatment*
Instantly
clarify your complexion. Ultra Care+ Clarifying Clay Treatment uses
powerful, skin-clearing clay to magnetically and visibly draw out dirt
and congestion to revel a brighter, more clarified complexion. It gently
buffs and exfoliates to remove dead skin cells, while working to tone
the skin for a more youthful appearance.
You know how I love my masks, so naturally I was excited to try this. You may have already seen me talk about this on Instagram in my Face Mask Friday series, but I wanted to go a little more in depth for you.
So this is a clay mask which is designed to exfoliate your skin and give it a deeper clean - to remove all dirt and congestion from your pores. The ingredients include: Kaolin Clay, Natural Volcanic Clay, Black Rice Powder, Raspberry Fruit Extract, Green Tea Leaf Powder and Cucumber Extract. Super simple, but powerful ingredients. The texture of the mask is quite light, but it does have a couple of 'chunks' in it that make it great for exfoliating the skin as you remove it. I find using a flat foundation brush to apply it is the easiest way to apply the mask, and I just apply an even layer all over my face, leave for 10-15 minutes. The treatment actually comes with a great dark coloured face washer that makes removing the mask super easy. I usually get some warm water and massage the mask into my skin first, activating that exfoliation, then I just wet the face washer and remove it using that. Make sure you are thorough when you are washing the mask off, it's easy to leave a little bit of mask behind, especially in your brows or around the hair line.
I have been really impressed with how soft my skin feels after using this. My pores seem smaller, my spots start to clear up faster and all in all, my face just feels amazing. I have noticed that my skin has been looking heaps better from using this regularly (once or twice a week). It hasn't caused any irritation in my skin at all either, which is always a bonus.
It's safe to say my revisit to Nutrimetics has been amazing and I now want to go try more of their products. I find their products always to be really simple and effective, but also innovative too. I do have some supplements from Nutrimetics that I need to try next, so stay tuned to hear my thoughts on them. Have you used any Nutrimetics products before? I'd love to hear your recommendations in the comments below! xx
