Clear Skin in Three Steps

As many of you know, I have struggle with acne for a long time. While it has improved recently, I am still getting blemishes, and I still have issues with my skin texture. Almost a month ago I started a new routine, and I want to share it with you now!
Cleanance is Avève’s acne fighting range. Designed for oily and blemish-prone skin, the range contains carefully selected ingredients to gently purify and reduce excess oil, without drying out or stripping the skin. They have just added one new product to the range to step up your acne fighting regime.

Cleanance Comedome is Avève’s brand new, breakthrough in acne fighting innovation. It is a super effective moisturiser designed to combat both the visible and invisible stages of acne. For each visible pimple, there could be 100 invisible pimples lurking under the surface. It is a highly concentrated and fast-acting formula that is designed to provide long-lasting clinical benefits. A dual action product, with the active ingredient Comedoclastin 25% , it helps to effectively reduce and limit the reappearance of blemishes and blackheads, while also targeting excess sebum with the help of silica. It is also rich in Avève Thermal Spring Water to help soothe and soften the skin, reducing irritation.

I have been using the new Comedomed alongside the Cleanance Cleansing Gel and Avève Thermal Spring Water for the last three weeks. Prior to starting the products, my skin wasn’t too bad, however, I noticeable breakouts on my chin and cheeks. What you can’t see in the photo below was also the blind pimples (that are hella painful) and the uneven skin texture I’ve been battling for a little while. My skin is combination - with some dry patches, but also oiliness in my t-zone. I also have a bit of scarring from older blemishes.

The Cleanance Cleansing Gel is a great first step. While it foams lightly, as it is soap free, it was not irritating or drying in anyway. I have actually been really enjoying using this as my cleanser morning and night. The pump bottle is a HUGE bonus (literally). I then follow with the Thermal Spring Water, a quick spritz all over my face. I find this helps to reduce any redness that I occasionally get from cleansing, it also calms my skin, ready for the Cleanance Comedomed. While I haven’t noticed any irritation since introducing the moisturiser into my routine, I definitely feel like the Thermal Spring Water has helped to make this transition easier.

Alright, now for the star - the Cleanance Comedomed is a lightweight moisturiser - so if you do have oily skin (oilier than my t-zone), it is so lightweight that this won’t feel like a moisturiser. It is not greasy and doesn’t leave you with that oily feeling on your skin after application. I usually find 2 or 3 pumps is enough for my whole face. I massage it in gently and am always impressed by how quickly it soaks into the skin, leaving a skin-like matte finish. It doesn’t feel dry, so the drier parts of my face were still happy and hydrated, but it doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky, oily or thick. It’s the perfect oily skin moisturiser.

The results (and the pictures below) will speak for themselves, but let me say - I am SO impressed. Within a week I started to notice a change in my skin. It was feeling softer, less scaly and smoother. While I had a couple of HUGE blind pimples also appear that same week, the cleared up within a day or two. The rest of my blemishes cleared up by the end of week two and I was left with my skin looking like this:

While I still have a couple of spots on my chin/under my nose, there is a dramatic decrease overall. The best part is that I’ve only had one or two pimples appear since. My skin looks and feels better than it has in a long time.

So the final verdict? Cleanance Comedomed is a winner for me. It has worked quickly to reduce my blemishes, leaving me feeling more confident in my natural beauty. The best part is that it is affordable. It won’t break the bank to keep my skin feeling and looking this good. I can’t wait to see how my skin will go long term using this new product. With such dramatic results so quickly, I know that good things will keep happening while I’m using this!
