The World's Most Advanced Make Up Brush

We all want an air brushed finish when we are doing our foundation. Though, and I don't know about you, I hate having to spend forever blending my foundation to achieve this. Well I have had a product come across my desk recently that aims to make that easy!

Let me introduce the Michael Todd Sonicblend Antimicrobial Makeup Brush*. Michael Todd Sonicblend is the world's first antimicrobial sonic makeup brush. Finally, a rechargeable makeup brush, based off patented technology that fills flaws without clumping makeup. Sonic movements evenly disperse individual granules of makeup in thin even layers for a 3D airbrush-like flawless finish. Sonicblend is an award winning and patent-based sonic makeup brush that is trying to change the way we apply our liquid, cream, powder and mineral makeup for a completely elevated final look. It is taking what you love about your foundation brushes and combining them with sonic technology to make creating a flawless foundation finish easy. Michael Todd has recently launched in Priceline, so it is now easy to get your hands on the foundation brush in Australia. Michael Todd says that you will
"love how Sonicblend quickly and easily applies your favorite makeup for a perfectly even, blended and seamless finish. It even improves the look of fine lines and enlarged pores all in one simple step."
At $119.95, it is not a cheap make up brush, so I was curious to see whether it was worth the additional money. Truth be told, I was pretty sceptical when it arrived. As Dave described it 'it looks like a fluffy dildo'.

I have been using this brush for the last month and have now tried it with a number of different foundations. From powders to creams of thick and lightweight consistency. If I am honest, I am in love. I have found it works better with creams, powders don't work quite as well, but that doesn't bother me as my base is typically a cream product,

I apply my foundation in the same way I usually would - dotting my face with a little bit of product. I then turn the brush on to blend. While there are three different settings, I prefer the first one - it is a simple consistent sonic movement, rather than the others which are a bit more disjointed. I then blend in a circular motion around my face. I blend much the same way I would with a normal brush, however I have found that my movements have been considerably lighter and I have been putting less effort into actually blending my foundation in.

Has it changed the way my foundations look? Yes and no. The foundations still retain their original finish. However, I have found they look more flawless on my skin, they blend better and easier, and they just look better.

While I can't quite believe it, this brush has been a bit of a game changer for me. The brush head is super easy to clean (just like you'd clean any other brush) and it also comes with a handy travel case that makes it easy to chunk in your suitcase or handbag. They do suggest changing the brush head every twelve months. I haven't tried to apply other make up products, but it has become my go-to foundation brush.

Pick up the Michael Todd Sonicblend Antimicrobial Makeup Brush* from Priceline for $119.95 now. You can also pick up the Replacement Brush Heads for $39.95.
