5 Products I Can't Survive Winter Without

Winter is coming my friends. The cold is about to set in and I have one question for you - are you ready for it? Truth be told, I am not. I am not a big winter fan. I am constantly cold and it only gets worse during winter. It's also not a season my skin loves either, but with these five products in my life, we should be able to get through it.

As someone who has from dry and dehydrated skin, winter is not my favourite season. So far, every year for the past probably five years, my skin has not coped. I end up with dry, flaky and irritated skin that is not possible to hide. I have started to acquired some trusty products that are now fail safe products for me.

Go-To : Face Hero

What is it: A terrifically powerful, fantastically lightweight face oil that deeply hydrates, soothes, revitalizes and completely protects the face against bad guys trying to make it unhappy. It's your daily skin booster and new best friend. Featuring 10 potent, purposefully selected plant and nut oils, Face Hero boasts a bucket load of essential fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants, as well as anti-inflammatory properties and write-home-about-it nourishment. It leaves zero residue and penetrates deeply and quickly to hydrate, revive, brighten and insure your face against fine lines, dark spots, dryness and ageing inflammation.

I have gone through bucket loads of face oils through the year trying to find something that actually helps my skin. Now, despite popular belief, face oils are not necessarily the answer to dry skin. Just like face oils don't always make oily skin oilier. I used face oil after face oil that sat on the surface of my skin but didn't really give me any prolonged hydration. When I tried Face Hero, it was a game changer for me.

This little gem is a powerful face oil that I use whenever my skin is feeling dry or irritated, looking flaky, or just in needed of a pick me up. When my skin is feeling dry or irritated, a little bit of this and after a couple of days my skin is typically back to normal. I won't do winter without a bottle of this handy now!

Summer Fridays : Jet Lag Mask

What is it: A mask? A hydrating primer? This multi-use product is filled with skin-loving ingredients. The result? An instantly renewed complexion, radiant and ready for anything! Designed for tired, out of sync skin, this uber-dewy, hydrating mask soothes thirsty, stressed-out skin by steeping cells in a nourishing mix of vitamins, ceramides, antioxidants and gently exfoliating extracts.

A must have for me through winter is an overnight mask of some sort. I have a number of favourites, but this is the newest to the collection. I have been loving this mask mostly because it has Vitamin C and Niacinamide in it, both of which my skin loves! This is a also a great little product because it can be used in a few different ways. I have mostly been using it as an overnight mask which I massage into the skin right before bed. I always wake up with hydrated, soft and refreshed skin in the morning. It's the perfect pick me up!

Clinique : Moisture Surge Intense Fortifying Hydrator*

What is it: A rich, oil-free cream-gel plumps skin with 24-hour hydration. Instantly rehydrates. Helps repair skin's moisture barrier over time. Ideal for skin that's parched by air travel, parched climate, indoor heating/air conditioning.

Another new product to me that I have instantly fallen in love with it. I am actually planning on doing a full blog post about the Clinique Moisture Surge range because I am a little obsessed with it, but this is my latest love. It is a slightly thicker version of the Moisture Surge Hydrator that is rich and creamy, but not heavy. The struggle I often have in winter is that I want a richer moisturiser, but I don't want something that it going to clog my pores. This has ticked all the boxes for me. It's rich and and creamy and hydrating, to the point where I wake up in the morning with my skin still feeling like I've just massaged it in, but is also light enough that it doesn't clog my pores, feel overly thick or heavy.

Foreo : UFO

What is it: A complete facial treatment that is quick and effective. LED light therapy and advanced Hyper-Infusion Technology combine with UFO Activated Masks to turn a 20-minute treatment into a 90-second treat. UFO instantly infuses mask essence deep below the skin’s surface for better, longer-lasting results while at the same time delivering a dynamic photofacial.

I actually did a review of the Foreo UFO device a few weeks ago, so if you want a full review of both the device and some of the masks, make sure you click here and have a read. This is definitely going to be one of my must have products through winter. It is essentially your luxury skin treatment and mask in a 90 second hit. It infuses the product quickly into the skin leaving your face feeling bright, hydrated and refreshed.

The H2Overdose Ultra Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Infused Activated Mask is definitely going to be my go-to through winter. It is an ultra hydrating treatment that instantly gives your skin a hydration boost that, thanks to the LED and sonic pulsations, penetrates deep into the skin. I always pull this mask out when my skin is feeling particularly dull and dry. It is the easiest way to rehydrate my skin, especially before an event.

Water

I know, I know, the title of this post says '5 Products I Can't Survive Winter Without', but this is also something. It is very easy through winter to drink less water because it is cold and it's not necessarily at the top of your mind. However, the easiest way to keep your skin and your body hydrated and happy through winter is to keep your water intake up. Your and skin and your body will thank you for it, and you'll have an excuse to get out of those awkward work conversations when your bladder won't let you sit still (you'll thank me later).

So there are the five things that I cannot survive without through winter, and with these five in my arsenal, I am hoping that my skin will not have it's usual dry and irritated problems that it has in previous years. Even if it does, I know the best ways and products to help get it quickly back into line.

What are your go-to products that are a must have for you in winter? Do you change any of your skincare up or do you keep it the same all year round? Let me know in the comments below xx
