m a k e Your Hair Better

I am always on the hunt for products that can give me that post salon feeling without a) having to go into the salon and b) having to spend millions of dollars. I have finally found a product that fits both of those AND leaves my hair feeling amazing.

Let's talk about m a k e hair care. m a k e is a 100% vegan haircare brand that can be purchased from Hairhouse Warehouse. Proudly Aussie, the make haircare range is absolutely bursting with botanicals, proteins and hair-loving oils. Even more exciting, m a k e’s new products are also now entirely free from parabens and sulphates!

I have used a couple of products from them before, namely their Blonde shampoo and conditioner (head over hear to read all about them). There is one particular product that I have been using from them that I am yet to talk about. Let me introduce their Better Treatment*.

The Better Treatment is designed as rehab for your hair. If your hair is stressed, dry or flat and needs a bit of a pick me up, this is the product for you. It is suitable for treating dry and damaged hair from all those nasty chemicals in bleachers and dyes, the treatment assists to nourish and revitalise the hair. The treatment retails for $23.95 and can be picked up from Hairhouse Warehouse.

I have been using this product about once a week, or once every other week, for a bit over a month now and I am a little bit obsessed. I have never really used hair masks, which is weird because of how much I love face masks. But the admin of putting in a hair mask, getting out of the shower, having to wait 20 or 30 minutes and then getting back in to the shower to rinse it out is just a lot of effort. It's the having to get BACK into the shower that is the turn off for me. Mostly because I forget about hair masks until I have very little time. This treatment excited me because you only need to leave it in for five minutes.

What I typically do when I use this treatment is shampoo my hair (lather, rinse, repeat of course) and then put about a 20 cent coin amount through my hair. I massage it through from about my mid lengths to ends. I don't go all the way to my roots because I do have oily roots and try to not put conditioners and masks on them to try and manage the oiliness. Then I leave it in for 5-10 minutes. I will typically put it in, shave my legs, then rinse out (if that gives you a bit of timing as well).

I have been SO SO SO impressed with how well this treatment works. Immediately after washing out, my hair feels so light - which is a key thing for me and my thick hair. I will typically blow dry my hair when I use this as well, to get the most out of the treatment. Once my hair is dry, it feels so soft, looks so shiny and feels so healthy. It's honestly a game changer. It leaves my hair with that salon soft feeling, with a fraction of time and money. I am almost finish the tube I am on at the moment, but I will DEFINITELY be buying another when I finish it. It is incredible.

Have you tried any m a k e haircare before? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Let me know in the comments below!
