Spring Hair Essentials

With the weather warming up and my hair getting longer I am starting to realise I need to take better care of my hair. If you're anything like me, you use shampoo and conditioner, but that is about it. I've decided I need to lift my game and want to share some of my current hair essentials with you.

L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Clay Pre-Wash Mask

With my hair being quite oily, I do need a little help with reducing the oil. Elvive Extraordinary Clay Pre-Wash Mask is perfect for oily roots. It instantly absorbs oil and impurities for deeply cleansed, light and lifted roots. Heavy, greasy hair is caused by oil on your scalp and roots.

I apply this to my roots (making sure I go on top and underneath, all around my scalp). I leave it in for about 5 minutes, then jump in the shower and wash out with whatever shampoo I wish. I always noticed a huge difference in the oiliness of my hair. I get an extra day or two between washes and my hair always just feels softer and nicer. If you have oily hair it's a must have!

Natura Siberica Oblepikha Siberica Hair Mask for Severely Damaged Hair*

For a post shampoo/extra hydration mask, my go to has always been the Natura Siberica mask. It smells of Sea-Buckthorn and leaves your hair feeling AMAZING! It is so hydrating and refreshing. I simply apply it all through my mid-lengths and ends, leave it for 20-30 minutes and then rinse out. You can either follow it with a conditioner or just leave it as is. Either way it works well and leaves your hair feeling SO soft.

Don't forget if you click here and get 15% off Natura Siberica by using the code THELIFEOFLAURA. If you grab anything, grab this mask! It's beautiful and is just $23 after using the code!

Fanola Nutri Care Shampoo and Conditioner*

I have found during spring my hair is getting drier and needing just a little bit more care.  Fanola’s Restructuring Shampoo for dry and frizzy hair is enriched with milk proteins to hydrate and nourish dry, weak and stressed hair, making it soft and shiny.

With the shampoo I use about a 20 cent coin size amount and massage it through my hair, rinsing then repeating. Then I take a 20 cent coin size of the conditioner and apply it to my hair before leaving it for a couple of minutes and then rinsing out. It has a really lovely milky scent that is sweet and leaves your hair smelling so good and fresh. I also love how soft and silky my hair feels after using this.

18 in 1 Smoothing Cream*

After washing my hair, I like to put a cream or serum through my hair to help keep it hydrated, put also give it a bit of thermal protection. I try to put this through my hair, just the ends, each morning as well, so that I am taking care of my hair between washes as well.

The 18 in 1 Smoothing Cream has been my go to lately. It has 18 different benefits all in one, including increasing volume, controlling frizz, thermal protection, humidity protection, preventing split ends and moisturising instantly, amongst many others. It comes in an easy to use pump bottle and I simply apply a 20 to 50 cent coin sized piece through my ends.

18 in 1 Thermal Spray*

Continuing with talking of thermal protection, it is so important to have a thermal spray on hand for when you are going to blow dry, or use heated styling tools. The 18 in 1 Thermal Spray has 18 benefits just like the Smoothing Cream, all while protecting your hair from heat. It's easy to use and works really well.

Tangle Tonic by Glammar*

I have also been loving using detangler brushes lately. They are great for the mad wind we get in Canberra. The Tangle Tonic by Glammar is excellent for untangling both wet and dry hair. Like no other brush, the Tangle Tonic allows for painless and effortless untangling whilst minimising tugging, breakage and cuticle damage. The Tangle Tonic provides a blissful relaxing head massage, even for the most sensitive scalps. I love that it has a little handle as well, making it really easy to use as well.

Hair Essentials Glammar Detangler

I keep it simple, but find these products work so well for keeping my super long hair in check. What are your hair essentials?
