The Power of Black Rose | Sisley Paris

We all love to have a bit of luxury in our life, and luxurious skin care is the perfect daily treat. But is luxury skincare worth the cost? Do the benefits really meet the price point? Or is it just a waste of your money?

Sisley Paris has just released a new addition to their Black Rose Collection, the luxurious Infusion Cream. I have been testing out the moisturiser for the past month and I have been impressed with the results on my skin. Is it worth the price point though?

Black Rose Infusion Cream

Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream* is designed to be the perfect daily skin care for replumping the skin and promoting the complexion's radiance. It is based on three fundamental ideas from the Black Rose range designed for even more effectiveness and indulgence:
  • An infinite sensorial texture,
  • A delicate and addictive fragrance,
  • Immediate and long-term visible youthful effects
There are two big claims that the Black Infusion claims to make. 1) Effective plumping, restoring bounce to the skin with Alkekengi calyx extract. 2) Promotes radiance and luminosity of the complexion Black Rose aqueous extract helps to instantly smooth the skin texture to improve reflection of light.

I was immediately in love with the packaging of the cream. It is encased in this gorgeous purple metallic looking jar, feeling and looking so luxurious and high end. If nothing else, this looks so gorgeous on your vanity or in your bathroom. However, I always want something more than pretty packaging, and with a price point of $230, I want to know that it works effectively and actually shows a significant improvement in my skin.

Let's discuss the texture first. It has a silky/creamy texture and is designed to transform into micro-droplets of water that permeates into the heart of the epidermis (basically, soaking deep into your skin). When I apply this moisturiser I take the smallest amount and massage it into my skin. In all honesty you really do not need much product to spread it all over your skin. I was immediately impressed with the spreadability of the product. It just melts deep into your skin. I do find that my skin is let a little bit sticky, but I haven't thought that this was bad. It was nice to feel that my skin was feeling hydrated.

Now for the real results - is it worth it? Look, I have honestly loved this moisturiser. My skin has been looking clearer and definitely more radiant since I started using this moisturiser. I tend to get a lot of spots and scars from blemishes. This moisturiser has definitely helped to keep my skin hydrated and looking so much better. To be honest, it is hard to describe the improvement in my skin and I can't quite put my finger on it, but this moisturiser has left my skin feeling so good! My skin is hydrated and feels healthier and smoother than it has in months. Despite it being so light and creamy, I have been surprised by how hydrating it has been. My skin has been so dry lightly but this has definitely helped.

Overall, I love it. I am using it so sparingly because I never want it to run out. To answer my original question, is it worth the price point? I would say absolutely. I have been so impressed with how my skin has been feeling since I started using it. It has made me want to try out the Black Rose Cream Mask and Black Rose Precious Face Oil, I feel like my they would work wonders as well.
