Let's start with the Blemish Starter Kit*. I love when brands have a starter kit that you can trial to see if the products work or not. There is nothing worse than shelling out hundreds of dollars without knowing if products will work or not. So this is the perfect way to find out!
You start by cleansing with beta Cleanse* which is an exfoliating foaming cleanser. Now normally I don't like foaming cleansers because they tend to dry out my skin. However, I didn't mind this cleanser. The AHA's and BHA's help to exfoliate and cleanse your pores, helping to remove excess oil. It isn't a cleanser I'd reach for everyday with my drier skin, but it would be perfect for oily skin.
Now in the morning, you would then go with the Hydr8 B5* Skin Rehydration Serum which helps is a powerful rehydrate the skin. I actually really like this inclusion in the kit. As someone with dry skin, I find it hard to use blemish treatments as they just dry my skin out even more, this helps to keep it hydrated and happy though.
At night you would use the Retinol 3TR* following the cleanser. While this is a great product to help with reducing wrinkles, it also helps to speed up the natural peeling of skin cells, helping to clear up spots and blemishes faster. This is definitely the best part of the kit and the aspect that has really helped with my blemishes. A couple of drops at night, and away you go. It is effective and I have noticed a huge drop in the amount of blemishes I've been getting with this.
Finally you'd end with the beta Moisture* which is a skin balancing mattifying moisturiser. It gives continuous moisturiser without clogging pores, and also has anti inflammatory benefits. This definitely helps with soothing blemishes, however as I have drier skin I don't love the matte feeling, but this would be perfection for oily skin.

Alright, I want to end this post with a new favourite Medik8 product. The Blemish Control Pads. Blemishes occur when excess sebum clogs the opening of a hair follicle and cannot reach the surface of the skin. The bacteria in the skin produces enzymes that irritate and inflame the skin, causing blemishes. The Blemish Control Pads are an all in one clarifying treatment which help to improve the appearance of problematic skin and help prevent future breakouts. They are soaked with 2% Salicylic Acid, which exfoliates the skins surface and penetrates deep inside the pores to dissolve dirt and oil.
What I do with this, is I take one pad (after cleansing) and swipe it all over my face, focussing the bumpy side on my T-Zone, or where I am getting a few spots appearing. It's as simple as that. I love the pad design, it makes it so easy to use. I love the packaging as well and that there is a cap that goes under the cap. It definitely helps keep them fresh all the time!
These pads are AMAZING. I am in love with these and never want to run out, and with the amount of pads in this tub, I don't think I ever will. I have noticed a huge reduction in how many spots I am getting and how angry they are since I've started using these. My spots clear up quicker, and my skin is looking damn fine, if I do say so myself. They are a brand new release from Medik8 and you need to get your hands on them now, especially if you suffer from blemishes. These are probably the best anti-blemish product I have ever used!
