Valentine's Day GRWM

The biggest date night of the year is coming! It's only two days away! While I am not going out on Valentine's Day, mostly because Valentine's Day is on a Tuesday night, when my partner and I actually have life stuff on, I thought I would show you my Valentine's Day make up look anyway (mostly because I'm doing 'Valentine's Day' on Saturday night instead).

The Base

The most important part of any make up look comes down to having the right base. And while your eyes might look amazing, you need the perfect complexion to go with them! (Look you don't, but it sounded right as I said it, it's really up to you what you do, but I like to go for the perfect base!) For Valentine's Day I want a glowy, but natural look. These are some of my favourite products to create that perfect glowy base!

Mecca Cosmetica Lit From Within Primer - It also starts with a glowy primer. This is my favourite highlighting primer, to give a natural glow from within. It is hydrating and makes your make up last all day. If you have oily skin, you might want to go with Mecca Cosmetica's Soft Focus Soothing Primer instead.

Ellis Faas Skin Veil Foundation - While I've started wearing more lightweight BB and CC creams for every day use, for date night my number one choice is the Ellis Faas foundation. It is a buildable foundation, that you can either wear with a light coverage, or a full coverage. It is thick, and long lasting and will give you a gorgeous natural glow, while covering all your blemishes and redness. Seriously, I love this stuff and I could talk about it a lot, but you should just read my review...

Maybelline Master Conceal - While I've got some other pricey items on this list, but this is one of my Holy Grail concealer, even over the Nars Creamy Concealer. It is just the perfect coverage for blemishes and dark circles.

The Eyes and Brows

I am not hugely adventurous when it comes to eye make up, mostly because I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to eye make up (if someone wishes to give me lessons, I'd greatly appreciate it!) but I have a couple of favourites I'll be using for this look!

Morphe 350S Palette - I am currently loving this palette and how pigmented the shimmers are! I do need to stock up on a good glitter primer though, which I currently don't have, in order to make this look last longer! (FYI the primer I'll be using is the Kiko Eye Primer!) Also the warm shades of this palette are perfect for Valentine's Day!

It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara - For full volume eye lashes! The perfect way to get natural, but full looking lashes, that last all night!

Stila All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner - The only eye liner I will ever use again, because it is long lasting and black as black can be! Whether you want a simple look, or a huge wing, this liner is what you are after!

Kevyn Aucoin Precision Brow Pencil (in Ash Blonde) - My current go to brow tool. It is a thin pencil that is perfect for precision lines. It takes a little longer to do your brows, but it gets the most precise, amazing looking brows.

The Face - Added Extras

The bits to give you chiselled features and highlight that glows for days. It was a hard choice of what bronzers, blush and highlighters I wanted to use, I have way too many favourites, but these are what I went with.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer - If you had of told me I would be using this bronzer for my GRWM about 5 months ago, I would've laughed because I used to hate this bronzer. Oh how times have changed and I now realised how amazing this bronzer really is for that natural bronzed glow.

Too Faced Papa Don't Peach Blush - How could I not use my current peachy love?!

Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder - If I want an amazing highlighted look, then I am always going to choose Hourglass, because it will make my highlight POPPIN' (I can't believe I just said that).

The Finishing Touches

No good make up look can be finished until you have set your look and added a lip product of some sort.

NYX Make Up Setting Spray - A quick spritz to your face and you will be all you need to set your face and make it last all night. You don't want your face to be melting off half way through date night!!

Now we all know you need the perfect lip to finish your look as well. There are so many different options when it comes to lips, so I thought I would do two different options - a bold red and a neutral colour.

Tanya Burr Matte Lip (in Martha Moo) - For those who want a more neutral toned lip colour, then this liquid lipstick is the one to go for! A gorgeous pinky nude that gives your lips a lovely, subtle colour.

Stevie K Lipstick (in Max Power) - A gorgeous, bold red in a matte formula. It is creamy and none drying, but so pigmented. Perfect if you want a bolder colour for date night!

And there you go ladies and gentlemen, that is my fairly simple Valentine's Date Night look. I'd love to hear some of the products, or looks you will be trying to create for Valentine's Day! Let me know below!
