Reborn Skincare

Yes folks, it's time for me to share another face mask! You didn't think that I would leave that much time in between my face mask reviews did you? Well don't you fear, the next face mask is here!
Started from personal family experience, Reborn Natural* was made for family members that had a problem with their face (oily skin, acne). Starting a family tradition, lasting over 80 years, Reborn Skincare now shares their natural face mask with you! 100% natural and vegan, their face mask is made from plant based ingredients, including rice and more than 10 herbs. The mask is aimed at oily and acne prone skin and aims to, remove excess sebum from the skin, helping to reduce acne and blackheads while brightening dull skin.

Reborn Skincare, Face Mask for Oily Skin

A few months ago I had the Reborn Face Mask* arrive in my mailbox and of course, I was excited. I always am when I find a face mask in my mailbox! The mask itself is a powder based mask, meaning you need to mix a small amount with water to activate it. You only need about 1/2 teaspoon of powder and water to turn the mask into a paste. You leave the mask on for about 15 minutes, before removing.

I have found this face mask so easy to use. While I'm not a huge fan of powder face masks, I have to admit they are super practical and last much longer than your usual face mask. The only challenge I find is that it can some times take a little while to work out what the perfect ratio of face mask powder and water is.

Initially I was a little put off by the scent of the powder. It isn't something I am a huge fan of, however, after reading about the mask a little bit more on the Reborn website I read that you don't just need to add normal water, but could include rose water, lemon water or add a essential oil/facial oil of your choosing. I decided to add a little bit of rosehip oil to the mask and found that the scent was much easier to cope with, plus I also received the benefits of rosehip oil, alongside the benefits of the mask.

The verdict is....that I am a fan. While it's not the strongest mask I've used, I find it is great for helping to clear up some stubborn spots and also helping with excess oil. It also cleanses the skin extremely well. While it says to leave the mask on for 15 minutes, I noticed that the mask does set very quickly, and crumbles not long after. I prefer to leave it on for a little bit less - maybe 5-10 minutes - but using it more frequently during the week (e.g. 2-3 times). For a product that is worth $6, I am impressed with how soft it makes my skin feel and how it really does help with those stubborn pimples, that just won't budge.
