Her Shave Club Razor Subscription

Now that it is summer (where has time gone?!) it is time to start de-fluffing those legs and getting your body ready to be seen. There are a few razor subscription companies popping up around the place lately and I have been trialling another one of these in the past few weeks. Her Shave Club* is an Australian razor subscription company providing affordable razors to keep your legs silky smooth.

How does it work?

Essentially you sign up on the website, choosing your package (either The Consultant or The Date Night) and then pay for the blades and then just wait for the package to arrive at your door each month. The handles AND the postage are completely free! How good is that?! They also have no lock in contracts so you can cancel your subscription any time you want to be hairy again.

The Razors

Her Shave Club have two different options of razors to choose from - The Consultant and The Date Night.

The Consultant*

'Simple 3 blade razor. Nothing more, nothing less.'
For $6 a month you can get three cute pink razor cartridges show up at your door. They are simple, no fuss razors. If you're not too fussed about being as smooth as you can be and just want some to keep the hair at bay then this option is probably for you. Out of the two, I did not like this one quite as much, mainly because The Date Night did an awesome job. While it glided over the skin nicely, I wouldn't use The Consultant if I had heaps of hair I was trying to get rid of, just for the quick touch up in the middle of the week. It was lightweight and easy to use. It wouldn't be my go-to razor though.

The Date Night*

'For the most sensitive of skin. 4 new cartridges every month. Designed to have less aggressive blades, giving you a smoother and cut free shave. #LegGoals'
For $8 a month you get four razor cartridges each month to go with you beautiful blue handle. If you're after silky smoothness than I would definitely go for this one over The Consultant. It is still lightweight in your hands, but feels higher quality. The handle is smooth and fits beautifully in your hand. I got a much closer shave with The Date Night and found my legs feeling much smoother. I do have to say I was impressed that I managed to get cut-free shaves with both of the razors. I am usually a mess when it comes to razor cuts...I basically massacre my legs, but these worked really well.

All in all I am impressed with these. If I had to pick one option I would go with The Date Night, simply because I found I was able to get a closer shave with that razor than The Consultant. For a cheap price each month you can get razors to your door, and for someone like me who is hopeless at changing over my razors, this is a great reminder to do that. You will also never be out of razors right when you need them. It is a great idea and I am a huge fan.
