Trash Talk: August Edition

It's reached that time of the month again - trash time! It's been another big month in my cupboard and I've used up LOTS of products. On top of that I've been doing a bit of cleaning out to try and get rid of all the products I have! So with the goal of trying to use up more products, I think I can safely say that I've achieved that this month. Let's just get right on into it...

Cleansing Products

1. Aesop Coriander Seed Body Cleanser Sample $47 - It is a lovely cleanser and cleans your face really well, but I wasn't a fan of the smell (probably because I hate Coriander). I wouldn't repurchase this.

2. YesTo Cucumber On-The Go Face Wipes $4 - I'd be having issues with face wipes early August and my skin had been reacting to lots of face wipes, but I picked this 5 pack up in the Priceline Skincare sale and I have to say I love these, they are gentle and smell fresh and remove all your make up. Once I get through the thousands of other face wipes I have, these are the first I'll be repurchasing!

3. Alpha H Balancing Cleanser Deluxe Sample $43.95 - A super creamy cleanser, it really does get all your make up off. However I could never justify $44 on a cleanser like this. It wasn't amazing and didn't really do much for me besides take my make up off. I wouldn't repurchase this.

4. Garnier 2-in-1 Express Eye Make Up Remover $8 - I love this eye make up remover! It's a little bit smaller and a little bit more expensive (like a dollar or two...) that some other eye make up removers but it really does a great job of getting the toughest of eye make up off.

5. Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil Deluxe Sample $48 - I received this in the Mecca Beauty Loop Box and it honestly is a really lovely cleanser. You do need really wet skin for it to work, otherwise it sort of sticks to your skin. I wasn't a huge fan of the consistency of it and for that reason alone I wouldn't purchase it again.

6. 2 x Cleansing Pads - I go through soooo many cleansing pads in a I always try to buy the cheapest ones (2x100 packs for $2.50).

7. Bioderma Sensibo H20 Solution Micellaire Water $29.95 - This micellar water is a little bit pricier, but I honestly love it and couldn't purchase any other any more. It is gentle on the skin but get's all your make up off!! I've tried cheaper micellar waters and they always irritate my skin. This is why I will always repurchase Bioderma, it doesn't irritate my skin at all

8. Clinique Foaming Sonic Facial Soap Sample $12 - This cleanser is great, it's gentle and removes all your make up leaving your skin clean. However I don't really like this cleanser, it didn't leave my skin feeling as soft or as fresh as other cleansers.

9. Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel Sample $78 - I'm still wondering what the special part is, because in all honesty it's not that special in my opinion. It's a just another gel cleanser...

Face Masks

10. The Body Shop Ethiopian Honey Mask $39.95 - I won't go into too much detail because I've already go into detail in my recent blog post. Anyway I love this mask. When I get through a few other face masks I will definitely buy this one again.

11. The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask $39.95 - Like the Honey Mask I won't go into too much detail (you can read that here). But I also love this mask. It isn't my absolute favourite charcoal mask, but is amazing nonetheless.

12. Nuxe White Brightening Perfecting Mask $49.95 - I won't go into too much detail about this because I am planning on doing a spotlight on sheet masks soon, but to give you a bit of an idea I wasn't super excited about this face mask. I didn't notice any change in my was hydrating but that was about it.

13. Skin Republic Spots and Blemish Sheet Mask $8 - It was a nice mask, but again I didn't notice a change in my skin. Maybe the secret is that you have to use the same sheet mask regularly? I don't know...

14. Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask $52 - Love love love this. Remember when I loved my Origins overnight mask? Yea I don't like that anymore thanks to this. It's amazing. Light and hydrating and everything you've ever wanted in an overnight mask.

15. Kate Somerville Nourish Hydragel Mask Sample $80 - Such a great, gentle mask, that is honestly more like a gel moisturiser thank a mask! It is hydrating and soaks into your skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and hydrated! If it wasn't so expensive I would totally repurchase this again!

Other Skincare

15. Frank Body Creamy Face Scrub $21.95 - So sad that my favourite face scrub has run out! It helps with my acne and dry skin and all those annoying skin things. It will leave your skin soft and lovely. Would repurchase again!

16. Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream $40 - Hydrating and great for eyes that are puffy. It is a really good eye cream! My second favourite! I like that you can use this under AND over make up to keep your eyes refreshed. If I didn't love the Clinique All About The Eyes more!

17. Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief $60 - My favourite moisturiser, I can't say much more than that. It is hydrating but not oily, the perfect moisturiser. Will repurchase again and again and again!

16. Bare Minerals Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion Deluxe Sample $72 - I am in love with this serum and I can't wait to buy a full size (once I get through some other serums and things!) It left my skin soft and feeling refreshed.

17. Kate Somerville EradiKate To-Go Acne Treatment $35 - In all honesty, this didn't work for me. Well the product itself didn't really work. I found that none of the treatment came out of the cotton bud, so I couldn't apply any to my skin.

18. REN V-CENSE Revitalising Night Cream $69 - Not an empty, but a throw out because my skin hated this product. It left my skin feeling dry and uncomfortable.

19. Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment from $30 - A nice scrub, but not for the price that you pay for it! I didn't enjoy the smell either. However, in saying that it did exfoliate well and leave my skin soft.

20. It Works Lip and Eye $29US - It works? No. It did nothing for my eyes. I don't have anything more to say about this product besides that I don't like it.

Make Up

22. Mecca Cosmetica Lit From Within Primer from $17 - This is one of my favourite primers. It prepares the skin so well, keeps it hydrated all day and make up lasts all day. The shimmer gives your make up a good glow as well.

23. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (shade: Chantilly) $43 - I love the Nars concealer, it is like a magic cream that covers your spots and leaves you looking amazing! It is thick, but creamy and long lasting. This shade was slightly too light, but I now have the right colour so all is good again!

24. MAC Pro Longwear Concealer $38 - Another lovely concealer, but I don't find this as thick and long lasting as the Nars. It is much lighter that Nars. Would I repurchase? Not over the Nars Concealer!

Body Products

25. Arbonne SeaSource Foaming Sea Salt Body Scrub $40 - This scrub is perfect for shaving your legs! It exfoliates away the dead skin and leaves your skin soft and ready for shaving, but you can use it for not shaving too. I love it.

26. The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter from $8.95 - As you all probably know these body butters are really lovely. They are creamy and hydrating and smell divine! I always enjoy having one of these in the cupboard.

27. Kiehls Crème de Corps Whipped Butter from $53 - Amazing. That's what I think of this body cream. It's amazing - exactly the consistency of whipped butter, light and creamy! And oh wow does it smell amazing, I want to buy 100 more!

28. Bitchin Skin Original Matcha Scrub $14.95 - As you might remember from my spotlight on this product, I love it. It helped fix my dry irritated skin. It will leave your skin hydrated and I find it really helps with my eczema, I will definitely repurchase this once I get through the rest of my other scrubs.

29. Lush Yuzu and Cocoa Shower Cream Deluxe Sample from $9.95 - Like all Lush products, I love this shower cream. It is light and creamy and smells amazing. It will also leave you feeling hydrated and clean.

30. Original Mineral Maintain The Mane Shampoo $32.95 - Can I start by saying this is shampoo smells AMAZING! It will also make your hair feel amazing and soft and clean and allll the good things! I want to repurchase 10 more just to smell!

31. Original Mineral Original Detox $32.95 - The minty smell is really lovely, but I didn't like this shampoo very much. I found it left my hair feeling heavy and oily, unlike the other product that leaves your hair feeling soft and amazing!

Other Products

32. Mitchum Clinical Gel Deodorant $12.95 - I love this deodorant! Ever since I tried the gel deodorant's I've been in love with them. I have stopped worrying about BO during the day and it is really refreshing.

33. Marvis Original Strong Mint $6.50 - I love the packaging! However I didn't enjoy the mint flavour, it is not really strong and I never felt that lovely clean feeling that I felt from other toothpastes.

There ends another trash talk! Seven products less than my last trash talk, HOW DO I GET THROUGH SO MANY PRODUCTS IN A MONTH?!?! Any way that's all for now!
