I went a bit overboard this week with the online shopping! I have been needing a skin care overhaul and there have been so many great releases and deals on this week that I kind of couldn't help myself....let's just dive straight in!

I have to say, I went a little bit overboard on Adore Beauty this week, making two orders over the weekend. They had some great deals and gift with purchases that I ordered quite a few things, but I am also so excited to try all of them!! I picked up a bunch of products I'd heard good things about and always wanted to try!

In my first one I ordered two Red Earth and two Clarins products (because then I got a cool freebie with each of them!)

Red Earth has intrigued me a fair bit recently after seeing the
brand pop up around the place a fair bit. They are an Australia brand which has been around since 1991 that is inspired by the earth and nature that surrounds us in Australia. It's all about encouraging natural beauty and I have loved the sound of it. Adore Beauty has an awesome promotion at the moment where if you order two Red Earth products you receive a free full size bronzer, so I decided to pick up the eye shadow palette in warm, and a hydrating make up base.
I also picked up the Clarins Instant Light Comfort Lip Oil, which I've heard amazing things about, and also a Daily Energising Cleanser. Along with these I also got a 6-piece set which includes an extra-firming Body Cream, Cleansing Milk, Night cream, Camomile Toning Lotion, Beauty Flash Balm and Instant Lip Natural Lip Perfector! It's the perfect introduction to Clarins, which I haven't really used before.

In my second order I picked up Benefit's new They're Real Tinted Mascara Primer and also the trusty They're Real Eyeliner in black! I also picked up the Clinque Pep Start Eye Cream, which I've also heard such good things about and a mini set of O&M hair care (which can I say, smells so heavenly!!)

I also received a bunch of cool freebies too, including mini Benefit They're Real Mascara, L'Occtaine Youth oil, Skinstut duo set and also a hair and make up discover set. The discover set included so many wonderful samples (Kerastase Blow-Dry Control cream, Kevin Murphy Angel Wash and Angel Rinse, O&M Moisture Mask, Evo Water Killer Dry Shampoo, Benefit They're Real Mascara, Inika Eye Pencil, Jane Iredale Primer and Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal!) The discover set also came in a really great little travel case which is awesome as well! Adore Beauty also had a skincare discover set that I wish I could've received as well, but the hair and make up is just as good. I am such a sucker for gift with purchases, or added freebies and Adore Beauty is so good at the freebies and samples!!! Each order also comes with a free Tim Tam with every order!

Being such a huge Too Faced fan, how could I not pick up the new Peanut Butter palette?! Mecca had an early release for some of their Beauty Loop members and I couldn't pass on it! I am in love with this palette! Alright, so the bright purple colour, I'm not the biggest fan off and I probably won't use too often, but I love every other colour so much, they're warm and easy to build up or just have subtly! I love the the bigger colours, they are all such perfect bases and the Bananas colour is great on it's own as well! I can't wait to experiment with this palette a little bit more, I'm trying to be a bit more adventurous with my eye make up lately! It also comes with a handy little guide for those, who are like me, and are unsure where to start. It has three different looks which they claim will only take you three minutes to do, can't wait to give them a go.

I also picked up some mini favourites from Soap and Glory and Korres to stash away for when I got to Italy, I think mini products are a way better way to travel than taking full products, leaves way more room for other stuff. I picked up the Soap and Glory mini Righteous Butter and some hand sanitiser, and also the Korres Aloe and Dittany Shampoo and Conditioner, all only $5! If anyone else has some suggestions on good sets to take travelling please please please let me know, I'm on the hunt for some before I leave!

Priceline has been having a small sale the past week with 20% of Garnier and Manicare so I decided now was the time to pick up a few things!

I decided I'd give a Micellar Water a go and Garnier recently bought out a Micellar Water designed for acne and blemished skin so I pick it up and so far I am loving it! It leaves my skin so fresh and clean, perfect addition to your cleansing routine!

Everyone has been raving about Lanolips recently so I decided I'd jump on the band wagon and it's been great so far, I love the smell the most, the sweet (but not too sweet) scent is so lovely and fresh!

Manicare's sponges are such a favourite of mine! If you're wanting a blending sponge that isn't ridiculously over priced like some others, give this one a go. They might not last as long, but for $10 a sponge it's much easier to replace them when they get too old.

I've heard such amazing reviews about Real-U and I'd been dying to give it a go! Seeing as I've had some issues with my skin recently and I was in dire need of a skin care overhaul and with their amazing deal over the Easter week (Real U set with free Spot Remove cream for $75 and free shipping) I couldn't resist! So far I'm loving it and my skin is too, the gel and moisturiser are lightweight and don't leave the skin greasy at all. I haven't had any breakouts since using them either which is awesome! I will be posting a review including a results photo once I've been using it for a few weeks if you're interested in knowing how I go.

I've been using it for a couple of days now and I have to say I haven't been hugely excited. My skin has been drying out and becoming itchy and flaky. I don't know if I'm having an allergic reaction to it yet or not, but so far my skin hasn't been enjoying it. I've been trying to decide whether to continue using it or not, but I'll give it until the end of the week, otherwise I might have to call this one a miss too...

Rimmel (thanks to their Dress for Success giveaway) sent me their Only One lipstick collection. They are amazing! I now know what all the hype is about. For $13 a lipstick, they are so worth every penny, they are even better than some of my pricier lipsticks. The pigmentation is fantastic, providing a thick layer of colour, without drying your lips like some products. I'm in love with the nudes and darker colours (the pinks, not so much) but they are so great for winter, be prepared for more selfies with this beautiful lipstick range on!!!
I also picked up the new Clear Complexion powder. It's a matte finish, but in a translucent colour. I've been looking for a powder that is a good alternative to my super pricey Nars Luminous Powder and I was told to try this. (My first impression wasn't hugely exciting. I've found it quite drying on the skin and I've found it really hard to get a good highlight or dewy glow with it. I'd definitely recommend it more if you have oily skin that causes your make up to sweat your make up away as it definitely helps to control excess oil.)
So there in ends my huge week of hauls! It's been so exciting picking up some products that I'd been eyeing off for so long. Have you been beauty shopping this week? What did you pick up!

  1. Wow, truly epic haul, so many lovely goodies to play. Red earth looks pretty, love to hear your thoughts on them. I only bought their lipstick and have not tried yet.

    1. It was pretty epic haha I stocked up on all the things I'd been wanting for a while! So fair I'm loving the palette by Red Earth, super natural colours, which I love in eye shadow, I think I will do a post about them once I've been using them for a while, the brand seems so lovely!

  2. That's a great haul!! I saw a couple of reviews as well on Real-U, sorry you didn't have a great experience with it. It really sucks when you buy products and they don't work like you hoped they would!!

We have a giveaway going on right now on our Facebook page (RODIK+VERON) for a Kiehl's facial cream if you want to check it out. Kiehl's honestly saved my skin a year ago, the products are lightweight and great for sensitive skin.

    Maria x

    1. Thanks Maria!! It was a real shame, I was really excited about trying Real U and my skin just didn't enjoy it, but they were super lovely about it and gave me a refund for having a not so great experience.

I will have to go check that out, I'm in love with Kiehls at the moment so that would be amazing to win!
