The new year is just around the corner, so it's time to get ready for all the 'New Year, New Me' or 'Same Me' content. The content that encourages you to think about what you want for 2026. So it's time to get planning. No pressure or anything...
New Year resolutions are something that I have always find really hard. I am not a goal orientated person and sitting down and pre planning where I want to go always feels really daunting.
But this year, I am trying to create a 2026 vision board of things that I want to get out of my year, content wise.
2026 my big goal is growth (which I did chat about in my previous post if you are interested on my thoughts on this). Growth in a few areas. Growth in the type of content, which will hopefulllllyyyy result in a numbers growth too.
Obviously I want to continue doing what I've been doing and improving on it. But I've been putting a huge thinking hat on to what I want to achieve throughout 2026 and I thought I'd share a few things that I am putting on my vision board for next year.
Dream Beauty Brands
I feel like I am putting my 'dream big' ideas on this vision board (because manifestation or whatever it is they say...). There are definitely some brands that I really want to work with in 2026 that have been a dream of mine for a few years, or that are coming more into the Australia space next year. Rhode is definitely up there, with it's launch due early 2026.
But outside of that there's also Rare Beauty, Merit, more collaborations with Mecca and hopefully Sephora as a whole, and the brands they look after.
Beauty is where I started and where my love still sits, so I obviously would love to keep growing in this space.
Branch out of the beauty niche a bit more
I've definitely already started work in this space, but I would love to fit a bit more into the lifestyle category with some content on fashion and home.
A lot of this, in my currently planning, will sit in my style crisis series that I have been sharing over on
Tik Tok (for those of you that have missed it: I have been struggling with my style and identity, both in my home and fashion, and kind of want to throw out everything I own and start again).
I've been enjoying sharing a little bit of 'real' fashion (i.e. someone who wouldn't classify herself as fashionable, but is just trying to work out what her style is now that she's 30) over on Tik Tok, so continuing to grow this a bit more would be fun. I would not call myself a 'fashion influencer', I am little too awkward for that haha but I think that's the reason that I enjoy sharing it.
The Year of Events (hopefully...)
Being a creator based in Canberra definitely has its downfalls, in that we very rarely get invited to events (unless you're a huge creator). I definitely used to get invited to a lot more, but I was teaching at the time, so sadly didn't have the flexibility to get time off and attend them, which probably also hasn't helped my chances of invites today.
I have been fortunate to have been to a select number of really cool events in the last 12 months (hello Mecca!) but I really would love to attend more in 2026. Not just because it's a glitzy and fun, but also because it's a great way to connect with and meet other creators and brands.
On my 'dream' list is obviously the House of Sephora, Priceline and Chemist Warehouse showcases. Three big events that connect you with a whole variety of brands. I've been to one Chemist Warehouse showcase in my life and LOVED it. Getting to connect with so many different brands was great and set up some really exciting content opportunities.
The challenge (obviously) is that there are always SO many creators vying for invites and only a select number of invites available (I would not want to live in the inbox of the brand and PR managers at the time these invites go out), but a girl can dream. And I would content the sh** out of those events!
