TLOL's Current Favourites

Sissa Sorella Lakos Boots

I haven't done a favourites post in a while so I thought I would share some things I have been obsessing over lately. I have received some many generous gifts in the mail lately, and have also 'treated' myself to many more (oops!) and it has left me loving so many new goodies lately that I just haven't got to share about. So here they are!

I usually share a list of things I am loving in my weekly newsletter, but I have been a bit slack on that front recently and also on the blog post front, so it seems only fitting to share some of the things I am currently obsessed with here.

Let's start with what I have been loving with beauty. There have been a lot of exciting releases lately and a lot of things I picked up that I have been loving as well.

Maison Margiela: Flower Market EDT  // $160

I splurged on myself recently and picked this up. I have been wanting this perfume since I originally saw the bottle and fell in love with the design. Basically I wanted it even if it didn't smell any good. smells AMAZING! A light, delicate scent. It is heaven and I am just in love with it. It is going to be the perfect scent in spring.

Sunday Riley: Space Race Set // $65 US

I have been wanting to try the rest of the Acne Treatment range ever since the Martian Toner became available at Mecca. You might remember that I LOVE the toner a lot, it is one of my favourites, so I had high hopes for the Saturn Sulfur Acne Treatment Mask and UFO Ultra-Clarifying Treatment Oil. I have only been using them for a short amount of time, but they have done wonders for me skin already. I will be doing a full review on the set later in March, but the oil in particular is quickly becoming a favourite of mine.

L'Oreal Paris: Infallible Pro Glow // $27.95

If you have been reading my blog or watching my Instagram Stories recently this product will come as no surprise to you. It has very quickly become an absolute favourite of mine and has claimed the spot as my new holy grail foundation. It is lightweight, but has an amazing coverage and leaves my skin looking glowy and gorgeous. The shade range is disappointing, so I really hope that L'Oreal might release more shades in this range because I love it so much and want others to know how good it is. You can read more about it in my review here.

Jouer: Citrine Highlighter // $35

I may have ordered this when I was doing a Cult Beauty ordered to get their sample bag. I am so glad I did because it is honestly the creamiest, most pigmented highlighter I have ever owned and I am in love. When I want a poppin highlight this is what I have been reaching for. It is just GORGEOUS!

Pressplay Cosmetics Capsule

Pressplay: Cosmetics Capsule* // from $39

If there is anything that I am hopeless at, it is keeping all my beauty things in one place in my handbag. That is the main reason I was super excited to get this little capsule from Pressplay Cosmetics. It holds all your beauty needs (lipstick, highlighter, mascara, eyeliner, brow pencil, foundation, moisturiser and so much more). I will be sharing more on this in my next post, but safe to say I have been absolutely loving it.

Glow Recipe: Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask* // $75

I picked up a mini size of this when I was trying to get the Cult Beauty bag a couple of weeks ago. I have been absolutely loving it. I have been after an overnight mask that is a little bit lighter, still hydrating but it doesn't leave your skin feeling weighed down. While I love my Origins and Clinique masks through winter, in the warmer months I want something that doesn't feel quite as heavy on the skin. This is perfect for that. It barely feels like anything, even when you put a finger into the jar to get some out, it feels like nothing. It goes on almost like an oil or gel type product, soaks into the skin easily and leaves your skin looking glowy and waking up hydrated. I am thinking of doing a post on this in my upcoming mini series (mini, because mini products...). Let me know in the comments if this is something you'd want to hear more about!

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge Pretty Powerful

Bobbi Brown: Pot Rouge Pretty Powerful I* // $50

I was kindly sent this by Bobbi Brown and it is one of those products that gets me really excited to share about. Bobbi Brown is proud to make a $300,000 donation to Kiva, a global non-profit organization that helps low income women and girls in over 85 countries secure microloans and create better futures for themselves. This little Pot Rouge, in a universally flattering colour, is designed to raised awareness and help to empower women to do more and be more. Not only does purchasing the product help to support an amazing cause, but the product itself is gorgeous. I have been wearing this as a blush and lip colour all week and have been loving it. It is easy to apply (simply use your finger to apply a small amount, then blend out with a sponge, brush or your fingers) and looks so beautiful on.

Charlie Middleton: Black Nappa Bespoke Tote // $269

If you missed Monday's post then you would have missed hearing about the Sissa Sorella opening in Canberra. Well while I was there I may have splurged and bought myself a gorgeous Charlie Middleton bag. All made in Bondi, Sydney, they are the most gorgeous bags - lightweight, but a good size that you can carry all your essentials. I've definitely fallen a little bit in love and now want one in every colour.

Lorna Jane: Astro Bra // $55

I also may have visited the Lorna Jane Warehouse in Canberra recently and snagged up a few bargains. I did say one of my New Years resolutions was to work out more and I almost definitely haven't, but I picked up a couple of active pieces to try and encourage myself to (have I done anything since buying them? Definitely not...but it's the thought that counts). Anyway, I grabbed this bra for just $40 and I kind of love it. It is so comfortable, but also stylish which I love. Plus I love the little space design it's just super cute. I want the matching pants, but they are all sold out :(

Sudio Sweden: Vasa BLĂ…* // $129

I have been on the hunt for a good pair of headphones recently and was kindly sent these bluetooth ones from Sudio Sweden. While I was a bit apprehensive about the design of the rubber in ear headphones, I have been absolutely loving them. They are small and easy to carry around, but the case means they don't get tangled. The battery lasts for ages (9 hours active, 10 days standby) and the sound quality is actually really good. I would even go as far to say that they are almost noise cancelling, if you have them in your ears properly.

Television, Music and Books

I couldn't not talk about books in a favourites post, I am such a book worm, but I thought I'd add some other things in the mix for those who don't necessarily love reading as much as myself.

Megan Miranda: The Perfect Stranger // $13 (Book Depository)

Some of you remember how much I loved Megan Miranda's All The Missing Girls well this is another fantastic book by Megan Miranda. I am only halfway through at the moment, but it is so gripping that I just have to know what happens. If you're into mystery/thriller type books then I would definitely recommend this one.

Love / Netflix

For those of you who have not watched Love on Netflix before, GO WATCH IT! It is a lovely little TV series about Mickey (Gillian Jacobs) and Gus (Paul Rust) who fall in love. It goes through the ups and downs of a relationship looking at the good, the bad, the awkward and the sucky. It is brilliantly written and casted and I have loved every minute of it. I am almost finished season 3, which has just aired on Netflix.

Youth and Consequence / YouTube Red

I found this scrolling through on YouTube on the weekend and I had to renew my YouTube Red account so I could just watch all of it. Think Gossip Girl but in a modern high school, covering issues like depression, gender and sexuality. It is so well written and I really enjoyed it. I smashed out the series in a day and really want there to be another season already! While I can't say that there is anything else that good on YouTube Red, I would highly recommend this!

Tall Heights / Neptune

I have been on the hunt for new music recently, which has involved listening to lots of playlists on Spotify. Any way, I discovered the Tall Heights recently and I loveee their sound! It is just very chilled out and easy to listen to. I love Spirit Cold, it is my favourite song on the album. For a musician, I am not great at describing music, so I will let their songs speak for themselves.

So there it is, a list of some of the things I am currently obsessed with. What are you currently loving? Let me know in the comments below xx
