I like to have a fairly lightweight moisturiser, nothing that weighs my skin down or feels heavy. My night time moisturiser tends to be a lot thicker than my morning, but I like lighter moisturisers than thick ones.
Moisturisers
Cinch Face Cheat // A clever little spray that acts as a 72 hour moisturiser, illuminator, pore refiner and primer all in one. A really lightweight mist that I love to use throughout the day to refresh my skin. In summer, I can use this as my sole moisturiser over a serum. In winter I need a thicker moisturiser, but this is the perfect way to hydrate and refresh my skin through the day.QV Ultra Calming Moisturiser* // I love QV moisturisers so much, they are so gentle and calming and perfect for when my skin is just not happy. The new Ultra Calming moisturiser has been amazing for my skin through winter. It is super hydrating, but also soothes my sensitive skin that I tend to get through winter. It is also really lightweight as well.
QV Nuturing Night Moisturiser* // This is essentially a thicker version of the day time moisturiser, perfect for night time. Again, super calming and gentle on the skin, but really hydrating as well. It has been my go to night cream lately.
Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Milky Lotion SPF 15* // A luxurious silky cream which delivers all-day hydration to thirsty skin, while also helping to protect your skin from the dehydrating effects of daily issues, such as sun and sudden temperature changes, that dry your skin out and leave it looking weathered. I have been loving this! It is lightweight but I have been so impressed by how well it hydrates my skin. I am a big fan already!!
Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief // (Not pictured) A lovely, gel like moisturiser that is SO DAMN GOOD! The Moisture Surge range is a staple of mine through winter and the release of their new Moisture Surge serum has me very excited, I really want to try it out. This is so lightweight and soaks in so quickly that you barely feel like you are wearing any moisturiser. I'm a big fan of this stuff.
Swisse CoQ10 Anti-Ageing Facial Moisturiser // This is a slightly thicker moisturiser, but it is so lovely and hydrating. I can't comment on the anti-ageing properties, but I have been loving this as a winter moisturiser. It is just the perfect consistency.
Masks
You know I love my masks and through winter I have been popping the charcoal masks away and opting for something a little more hydrating. There is something so nice about a really lovely hydrating mask through winter. I always struggle to find the perfect mask, but I have found two recently that I have been absolutely loving.Clinelle PureSWISS Hydracalm Sleeping Mask // This is a fairly new purchase for me and I have been loving it. It is a really lightweight, gel-like overnight face mask. I apply it after my moisturiser just before bed and come morning, I wake up with lovely, hydrated skin (which through winter can sometimes be a challenge!). I am not a huge fan of the smell, I will admit, but it has been so lovely to use that I can deal with that. The best thing about it is that I don't feel like I am putting a thick layer onto my skin, that I can feel sitting there for ages like some overnight masks. It just soaks straight in. Big fan of this!
Onne Natural Moisturising Mask // I have had this for a while, but haven't really used it until recently and boy am I glad I did. It contains Coconut and Kaolin and is in a clay like formula that sets on the skin, but I have been so surprised by how lovely and hydrated my skin feels when I wash this mask off. It's a weird feeling to have a clay mask leave your face feel so hydrating.
Those are my top picks so far for winter, but I would love to hear about what moisturisers or masks you have been loving to keep your skin hydrated, as I am always on the hunt for more hydrating! Let me know in the comments below. Make sure you check out Part 1 (Cleansers) and Part 2 (Serums) if you missed them as well!
