The Clinic : Sydney's Premier Non-Surgical Cosmetic Clinic

We all want our skin to look flawless and beautiful. We want the #skingoals and we want it effortlessly. What if I told you that there was a place where you could get all the skincare and amazing treatments all in the one place.

Just over a month ago I was contact by the lovely people at The Clinic to create a tailored skincare regime to suit my skin concerns and my skin goals.

First things first, who is The Clinic? Since opening in 1999, The Clinic has been the go-to non-surgical cosmetic clinic, known for its ability to achieve exceptional results. Founded by Kaye Scott and Lisa Sullivan-Smith, The Clinic provides the very best services and technologies for your face and body. Employing only doctors and nurses, The Clinic is widely recognised as one of the most prestigious and sought after cosmetic and laser medical practices in Sydney. The Clinic has attracted customers from all over Sydney and a couple of years ago, launched a standalone online store for those who had been to the clinic but perhaps moved away or lived interstate but still wanted the specialised skin regime that the expert team recommended. Whether you are based in Sydney and can visit regularly, or need an online store stocking only the best skincare to help keep your skin in check, The Clinic is the one stop shop.

Now, being based in Canberra, I wasn't able to head in store to have a consultation and work out what would be the best routine to help with my skin concerns. To help ensure I was going to get the perfect problems for my skin needs, there were a couple of other methods that we used to help find the perfect routine. The first one was completing an online skin consultation. This took all of about five minutes and gave me a quick snapshot of what products would work best for the concerns I had. Following this, I had a FaceTime consultation with The Clinic to talk through my concerns in more depth, and then talk through the products that would work best for me. Before even receiving any products I had a clearer understanding of my skin and what my skin needed. The consultation was informative and helped to unpack the products in a way that was easy to understand. I am a big fan of tailored experiences and this has to be one of the best I've had.

Let's get into my routine though! My concerns were all based around my blemishes and scarring post blemishes. As many of you will know, this has been a concern of mine for a long time and I have really struggled to find products that help but don't dry out my skin. My routine has left my skin looking better than ever and I have been loving all the products that were prescribed to me.

Cleansing

Cleansing is a very important step in any routine. You want to ensure your skin is squeaky before applying your skincare. I was prescribed two cleansers.

Cosmedix Benefit Clean*

Encouraging fresh, clean complexions, Cosmedix Benefit Clean is the key to a simple and effective skin care regime. The deep cleansing formula gently removes impurities, makeup and pollutants, whilst providing calming and nourishing properties.

I have been loving this cleasner. It is gel, non-drying and leaves my skin feeling lovely and fresh after cleansing. It's a seemingly simple cleanser, but has been really lovely to use.

The Cleansing Pad by The Clinic*

Nourish and cleanse in one easy wipe with The Cleansing Pad by Scott & Sullivan. These micellar-soaked pads are the second product in Co-Directors Kaye Scott and Lisa Sullivan-Smith’s signature range and are designed to gently but effectively cleanse the skin of makeup and impurities. Enriched with the nourishing properties of Micellar Water and anti-inflammatory Chamomile Extract, these pre-soaked pads are suitable for all skin types and can be used in place of a daily cleanser or to support your preferred skin regime.

These Cleansing Pads is like micellar water, but even easier to use! Skip the step of pouring the micellar water on the pad and instead just take one out of the tub. They are super easy to use, calming on the skin and work so well for removing make up and cleansing the skin. They are the perfect lazy girl cleansing step - but also so good for your skin as well.

Moisturiser

With my concerns about my blemishes, The Clinic recommended not using a heavy, oil based moisturiser as this can increase sebum production in pores and cause more blemishes.

Aspect Dr Oil Free Moisturiser*

Aspect Dr Oil Free Moisturiser is a non-comedogenic formula (meaning it won't clog pores) that provides long lasting hydration throughout the day for combination and oily skins. It is important to moisturise even if you have oily skin and with this new formula from Aspect Dr, the delicate balance is achieved using water based hydrators. With added antioxidant protection, Aspect Dr Oil Free Moisturiser helps to achieve a supple and matte complexion.

Another skincare concern that I have is with dryness as well - which usually means that I want to go for a thicker moisturiser to help with hydration. However, the Oil Free Moisturiser has been really lovely. It is hydrating, but doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It sits well under make up and doesn't leave an oily residue on the skin either. I also love the packaging.

Masks

I mean, we all know how much I love masks, so I was very excited about the three masks that I received alongside my routine.

The first two masks were designed to be used in a 'multi masking' type way.

Cosmedix Detox Activated Charcoal Mask*

A solution to clogged pores and impurities, Cosmedix Detox Activated Charcoal Mask is a vital component to your weekly skin care regime. This detoxifying mask contains active ingredients, including clay and charcoal, that work to draw out  congestion and remove daily urban pollution from the skin. Different to the typical blackhead masks, Cosmedix Detox Activated Charcoal Mask does not rip the skin, rather supporting it with all natural ingredients to gently draw out congestion.

As I mentioned, this mask and the next one were designed to be used either all over the face, or together - in the areas that are needed. You would apply this mask where you have congestion. It works to draw out this congestion and impurities from the skin, leaving your skin looking fresher and helping to reduce blemishes. I have been loving this mask. Unlike some charcoal masks, which dry out the skin, this mask leaves the skin feeling comfortable after you have rinsed the mask, however blemishes clear up much fast post mask and leave less scarring as well!

Cosmedix Restore Moisture Mask

Stop hydration-loss overnight and restore plump, healthier looking skin with this moisture-rich solution. Cosmedix Restore Moisture Rich Mask injects moisture and energy into the skin for complete rejuvenation. This is the ultimate product for skin that is lacking in essential moisture, the cornerstone of any skin care regime. This vital hydration will keep skin looking healthy, revitalised and restored.

Again, you can use this mask either on your whole face, or in the areas that needed it most. Through winter I have been using this mask in conjunction with the charcoal mask. It is a creamy mask that is really hydrating. After applying it, you can either remove it completely or blot it away and let your skin soak up the extra moisture. If you have dry skin, I would highly recommend including this mask. It is so beautiful!!

Societe Rejuvenating Peptide Masks*

The Societe Rejuvenating Peptide Masks were originally developed for cosmetic use to calm and restore the skin after micro-needling, cosmetic injections or ablative treatments. We love the Societe Rejuvenating Peptide Mask so much, we recommend them for anytime the skin needs an instant hydration boost! Containing ingredients that are activated by skin temperature, Societe Rejuvenating Peptide Masks rapidly minimise dehydrated skin and improves self-moisturising ability for a long-lasting dewy complexion.

This mask was also recommend to me to use after using the charcoal mask, or when my skin needs an extra little bit of hydration. After removing the charcoal mask, you simply pop the sheet mask on and let your skin soak up the hydration. The sheet mask comes in two pieces (one for the top half or your face and one for the bottom). It is definitely a big sized mask, I found my skin was swimming in mask. However, my skin was really hydrated and refreshed after wearing this mask. It was the perfect pick me up post detox mask.

---

My skin has been loving this range and the products recommended to me by The Clinic. I am hoping that I can get up to their clinic in Bondi one day to have a treatment to help enhance my routine as well. Have you been to The Clinic before? I'd love to hear your experiences as well.
