Give the Gift of Protection : OtterBox

Come on now, get your head out of the gutter. Not THAT kind of protection. I am talking about phone protection. If you are looking for something different to chocolates and flowers for Valentine's Day, let me give you another option.

For those who haven't heard of OtterBox before, let me introduce you. OtterBox began like many start-ups – built on a dream, created out of a garage. Starting with something as simple as a box, OtterBox was created in 1998 and built upon the fundamentals of hard work, risk taking and listening to our consumers. Today they create stylish phone and tablet cases designed to protect your precious device from being destroyed.

So what does this have to do with Valentine's Day? Well I don't know about you, but I haven't thought of a gift yet....time has just flown and I am still in disbelief that it is February. I like to get something different for Dave for Valentine's Day each year and was intrigued by getting new phone cases (for both of us of course...)

All the OtterBox phone cases over four levels of protection:

  • Drop Protection to protect your phone from that accidental knock or fall down the stairs.
  • Dust Protection to protect against dust, dirt and pocket lint.
  • Screen Protection with stick on screen protectors to fend of scrapes while maintaining screen sensitivity.
  • Scratch Protection to protect every side of your phone and keep it pristine.

For Him...

There are plenty of options for his phone. Maybe he is a Star Wars fan and you want to get him a fun Star Wars case for his phone. Or maybe he loves NFL. For me, I went for something more simple for Mr. TLOL and opted for a case from The Commuter Series*. The Commuter Series protect your device with the sleek yet tough Commuter Series iPhone 6/6s case. Designed for a streamlined fit, the Commuter Series hugs every corner without a bit of bulk.

The Commuter cases safeguard your device from the daily grind. They also have tight-fitting port and plug covers keep grit and grim from building up in your jacks, ports and inputs and also includes a stick-on screen protector to help block scratches, scuffs and scrapes to your touch screen.

The Commuter cases come in 4 different colours, but you can also customise your own case if you wish, choosing the shell and slip cover colours.

Mr. TLOL is pretty good at taking care of his phone, but like all of us, he has the occasional slip and is often nervous he has cracked his phone. This new phone case means he no longer worries about dropping his phone. It is still slim and sleek but offers tough protection.

For Her...

Now I don't know about you, but I like something a little bit prettier and girlier when I choose a phone case. OtterBox now has a gorgeous selection of phone cases that you will love. Their new Symmetry Series* has an array of designs perfect for anyone. From the minds of today's hottest fashion designers — the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 7 Plus designer case that expresses your style while it protects what matters most.

My new case is from the Mod About You* design. It is a gorgeous pink case with light pink and gold detail. The Symmetry cases offer stylish design, dynamic graphics and exclusive designer patterns to dress up your device all while offering strong protection against being dropped. It has a slim design, making it easy to fit into pockets, clutches and purses. There is a screen bumper raised, beveled edge helps protect touch screen.

I love my new Symmetry Case. I previously had one of the clear graphic cases in Drop Me A Line* which I also loved. I always associated OtterBox with big, bulky cases, but they have surprised me. Instead they have stylish cases that offer fantastic protection.

With something available for anyone, OtterBox has the perfect gift for him or her this Valentine's Day (or for those of your who don't like Valentine's Day, for an every day gift!)
