Blogmas Day 9: My Candle Collection

From the title you're probably assuming I'm going to take you through all my candle collection. Sorry to disappoint you, but it's not going to be my entire collection because it would take a lifetime to write! What I am going to share are my top candle picks for Christmas and Summer.

For those of you that aren't from Australia, we are currently in summer, meaning that it gets quite hot at Christmas time. While I love Christmas scents (cinnamon, gingerbread, Christmas trees!), not everyone loves those warmer scents during summer, which is why I wanted to share some of my favourite summery scents too.

Let's start with Christmas!

There are so many amazing Christmas scents out this year! I wanted to share a couple with you that I have be loving (I don't own them all yet but I am planning on treating myself, or getting someone else to treat me, through December!)

Glasshouse Night Before Christmas* /

Inspired by plum puddings, Grandma's treats and festive fruits, Night Before Christmas Triple Scented Candle combines Blackcurrant, Plum, Lemon and Lavender to remind you of everything that's magic about Christmas.

This is my first Christmas having a Glasshouse Christmas candle and I love it. It is not a scent that I usually associate with Christmas, but I absolutely love it. It's a little bit sweet and not a heavy Christmas scent that you would typically associate with a white Christmas. This is definitely one you could burn through summer as well. Plus how gorgeous is the jar!! I want to clean this out and use it as a treat jar once I'm finished with the candle!

Ecoya Dark Chocolate, Meringue and Raspberry /

A Limited Edition product for the festive season. A beautiful soy wax candle, delicately poured into a contemporary glass jar and capped with a festive gold lid. In luxe limited edition packaging, the graphic illustration featuring a gold leaf design was inspired by the aerial views of Australasia  An indulgent composition, infused with almond, velvety chocolate and hints of the sweetest Indonesian vanilla, red raspberry and caramel.

So I don't yet own this one but you better believe I will be getting myself one because I stop to smell it every time I walk past it! It has a strong Dark Chocolate scent, which is counteracted by the sweetness of Raspberry, vanilla and caramel. It smells like heaven and anyone who is a chocolate lover will absolutely love this candle!!

Peppermint Grove Sugared Shortbread /

It combines notes of buttercream, malt and maple cookie to produce the mouth-watering aroma of freshly baked, golden brown, deliciously warm and crumbly, sugared shortbread.  Top note is buttercream; middle notes are malt, maple cookie and shortbread; base notes are vanilla, musk and tonka bean.

This is another favourite of mine, but this candle might not be for everyone at Christmas time because it is one of those scents that is amazing for a white Christmas (aka when it's cold). This candle reminds me of Gingerbread Man and sugared sweets and it just makes me feel so warmly and happy. I only have a mini on at the moment, but I do really want to get a full size so I don't run out!

A little bit of summer!

Let's talk about summer scents that I have been loving. If you prefer lighter, fresher scents during summertime have I got some amazing choices for you!

Wilds Home Lychee and Coconut* /

I have been OBSESSED with this candle lately! The notes of the candle are: Top: Fruit, Apple, Lychee; Heart: Strawberry, Rosewood, Coconut; Base: Musk, Vanilla, Balsam. It is essentially heaven in a candle and smells so fresh and summery. The jars are so beautiful, they come in a beautiful, simple white jar with rose gold lettering down the side. I think this has easily become one of my favourite scents EVER.

Glasshouse Florence /

Florence unites wild Peonies with Amber and Lily in a tribute to the elegance and sophistication of this ancient city. Understated yet striking, this remarkable fragrance embodies eternal strength and beauty.

This was a limited edition candle, so you can't get it anymore but I have just started burning it so had to share it anyway! It is a very light and delicate floral scent, which to me is just perfect for summertime. Mr TLOL bought it  for me because I went to Florence last year and am a little obsessed with all things Florence (and it's rose gold!).

Vela Candles Customisable Candle Melon and Fig* /

So Vela was kind enough to send me my very own, customised candle (I MEAN LOOK IT HAS MY NAME ON IT!!) and I am so in love with it. The Melon and Fig scent reminds me a bit of the Wilds candle, in the sense that it is very light, fresh and summery. I haven't started burning it yet, but I can tell my home is going to smell AMAZING!

What about the Tealights?

If you don't like a big, strong scent candle, you might prefer tea lights that don't really have a strong scent. I have picked up some gorgeous tea light holders this year that I am in love with as well.

Kikki K House Tea Light Holder /

I saw this little set when I was in Kikki K. The chimney was a little damaged on one of the houses, so we got the set a little cheaper and I can't say I have looked back since. I have had these in my bathroom and when I have an evening bath these light up the room perfectly. The light comes through the little windows in such a beautiful manner as well.

Bed Bath N Table Woodland Tea Light Holder /

I picked two of these up because they are just gorgeous and so warm and Christmassy. They are a simple little jar, but they have some pine attached around the outside. They just tied in nicely with my Christmas theme.

Dusk Angelina Stars Blush Tea Light Holder /

I received this as a gift for Christmas and it is so beautiful. It was like the person who gave it to me knows how much I love Christmas, Candles and Rose Gold. It has little shimmery stars falling from the top, which are actually cut outs, so when it's dark it projects pretty stars on the wall.

So this is what candles are currently scattered around my home! Essentially ever room has a different scent in it and I love it! What is your top candle picks this year? What do I need to pick up next?!
