Spring Make Up with Arbonne

Now that it is officially spring (though I question it some days in Canberra) it's time to bring out the glowy, lighter make up. Arbonne has released a couple of beautiful spring make up products which I have been loving and just had to share with you!

For me spring make up is light and glowy, with a brighter lip maybe thrown into the mix too. I want to let my skin breath and enjoy the warmer weather. I typically find that my skin looks better during the warmer months too, so I want to enhance that rather than cover it.

Let's start with the base...

I've always been a big fan of Arbonne's Liquid Foundation, which is a slighter lighter coverage, but can be built up if you want a little bit more. This is my go to base in Spring. They have also just released a gorgeous new concealer for those pesky spots or under the eyes. The Real Conceal Liquid Concealer* is a thicker concealer, that blends beautifully into the skin. I have actually been off concealers recently. I have found them all too cakey and patchy. I don't know what it was, but none of them were lasting on my skin. This one arrived in my mailbox at the right time. It has amazing coverage that can cover spots and under eyes, as well as anything else you need to cover. I have also found that it is seems to almost hydrate the skin rather then drying it out like some concealers. It comes in 7 different colours, so you are bound to find one that works for you.

Next step is the glow...

I have been slowly falling in love with cream based products this year and the warmer weather is the perfect time to use them. I find cream just gives even more of a glow to your skin. Arbonne has just released their Sheer Glow Highlight Stick*, a dual ended highlight stick that glides easily over your skin or foundation. It has a bronze end and a pearl highlight end. They are quite a shimmery, sheer finish but can be built up for a more intense highlight and contour.

I take the bronze end and draw it where I want to contour or bronze (ie up my cheek, under the cheek bone though don't want to contour the high points! Along the top of my forehead, then down the side of my nose and my neck.

Then the highlight goes up on all my high points - up my cheekbones, down my nose, on my cupids bone and on my brow bones. You can go over each part a couple of times if you want a more intense highlight or contour.

Finish with a bright lip...

Spring is all about the bright lip, or at least a lighter colour lip. I have two from Arbonne that I have been loving this spring. It wouldn't be a Life of Laura look without a gorgeous nude shade. Smoothed Over Lipstick in the shade Lily* has been my go-to nude shade. It is a peachy pink, with a gold shimmer through it. For the days I want a little bit more colour I opt for the shade Gladiola*. A lovely bright red lip (sorry, I didn't wear it for the make up look haha). They are super hydrating and comfortable to wear. They are long wearing too, which I was really impressed with! Usually comfortable, hydrating lipsticks don't last well.

So what does my typical spring look like with a face of Arbonne products? Check it out here:

I'd love to hear what some of your favourite spring make up products are at the moment?
