Sigma Dimensional Brushes Vol. 1

Sigma Dimensional Brushes Vol. 1

Sigma knows how to do unique, but good quality brushes. With a number of cult classic brushes, the ones that we cannot live without. Now, they are starting to branch out with brushes you would never have expected to see. Today I want to talk about two of those unique brushes.

If you haven't heard of Sigma before they are an international online beauty store that aims to provide beauty enthusiasts with the latest innovations in cosmetics, makeup brushes, and brush care accessories. They strive for exceptional quality, innovative function, and excellence in customer service.

Now, if you read my last Sigma Beauty blog post, I talked about one of my favourite brushes - the 3DHD Kabuki Brush*, a unique Kabuki brush with a double wedge flat and pointed head. I was loving it for applying cream products, especially foundation and concealer. Well they have now released an even bigger version! The 3DHD Max Kabuki* brush is an even bigger and better version of the brush I already loved. I was super excited to get a bigger version, because while I loved the original, it was just slightly too small to do foundation, this bigger version is absolutely perfect though! The double sided wedge designed helps to get around every curve of your face, applying foundation evenly, with any coverage you desire. I won't lie, it takes a little bit of getting used to, but I am a big fan. With the smaller size, I used to use each side for a different concealer (my under eye concealer, and then my blemish concealer. Now I just need to get the smaller version to complete my set!

Another unique brush that Sigma has just released is the F83 Curved Kabuki*. The F83 Curved Kabuki* is soft, dense and uniquely designed to hug the curves of your face when applying foundation or contour products. I have really enjoyed this as another alternative for applying my foundation as well. There is something about the curved design that just makes it really easy to apply foundation. I sometimes go in with my 3DHD Max Kabuki* to blend after applying. Another use, is for contouring. This brush works well for applying and blending a cream, or even a powder contour. I like to use the top/higher edge of the brush to apply and blend my counter, because otherwise I end up with contour in places that I don't need it. The shape of the brush fits so comfortably in the curves of your cheekbones or jaw line.
