Trash Talk || May Edition 2017

7:00 am

Alright, can someone tell me where the year has gone? I blinked and May has been an gone and now Winter is here and I already want it to go away. However, it does mean it's time for another Trash Talk, and I know how much you guys love these posts, so let's just dive on in.

Skincare

1. RosehipPLUS Daily Cream Cleanser* - I absolutely love this cleanser, it has been one of my favourites lately. You can read more about it here. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and nourished and just nice. If I didn't have so many cleansers I would definitely repurchase!

2. Medik8 Blemish Control Pads* - Holy moly, these are amazing! They really helped reduce and keep my acne at bay. Since finishing them, I have noticed my spots coming back, so I might need to buy some more! You can read more about them here.

3. Medik8 betaMoisturise x3 (Deluxe Samples)* - Simple, hydrating and work well. They were also in my Blemish Be Gone post, so you can read more there. I probably wouldn't repurchase a full size, only because I already have so many moisturisers to use.

4. Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes - I think these are probably some of my favourite face wipes. They are super gentle but work so well.  Plus they are really affordable. Would definitely repurchase.

5. WotNot Facial Wipes for Normal/Sensitive Skin - Another lot of fantastic wipes, I also really enjoy these. They are so gentle as well and soft. Would definitely repurchase these as well.

6. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Wipes in Oil - I was surprised by these. I wouldn't repurchase them just because of the smell. The fragrance is quite strong, but they do leave your skin very hydrated. Probably wouldn't repurchase.
7. Clarins Multi-Active Night Comfort Cream* - Gentle, hydrating and light on the skin. I actually loved this night cream and am so disappointed I am out of it. I would repurchase if it wasn't for the hefty price tag.

8. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream (Sample) - Oh this moisturiser was dreamy, that's for sure. So hydrating and nice. Worth $125? Yea probably not hey....

Face Masks

9. Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Mask - it actually was more of a dry up than an empty, which is disappointing but what can you do. I did love this mask though, it always left my skin feeling good. Definitely would repurchase.

10. LJH Tea Tree Soothing Mask* - I loved this mask, so hydrating!! I didn't notice it help with spots like Tea Tree is known for, but it did really help to soothe my skin at a time that it needed some soothing. I'll have more about this in my post about Franki and Seoul coming soon.

11. Ella Baché Intensive Extreme Regeneration Mask* - I loved these masks, they are honestly some of my favourite face masks, if I had the dollars I would buy more! You can read about it here

12. Skin Republic Two-Step Hyraluronic Acid and Collagen Face Mask* - This mask was actually really nice! The scrub was gentle and definitely helped to prepare my skin for the mask. The mask it self really helped with my dry and flaky ski. My face felt much more refreshed afterwards.

Make Up

13. Beauty Blender - I decided it was time to clean out my sponges and while I love my Beauty Blender it was time to say goodbye. Probably won't repurchase just due to cost.

14. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge - Again, another clean out. It is a great sponge, but time to go. Probably would repurchase this one!

15. Kevyn Aucoin The Precision Brow Pencil - I loved this Brow Pencil. I had the shade Ash Blonde, which was very light, but gave me full brows without it being too dark or over powering, it was just a really natural colour.

Bath

16. Soak Society Noosa Wellness Soak* - I love this soak, it's so relaxing to bathe in. You can read more about it here. I'd definitely consider repurchasing it.

17. The Body Shop Frosted Berries Foaming Bath - Loveeed this bubble bath, so many bubbles, as TBS usually does, and it smelt so delicious. So sad it was a limited edition scent.

18. Lush Unicorn Horn - Yes, I am still getting through the Valentine's Day bubble bars. I had a fair few of these stashed up because they are some of my favourite bubble bars. They are the best, smell amazing and make amazing bubbles.

19. Lush Baa Bar* - This was from the Mother's Day release and it was amazing. So relaxing to bathe in. I somehow ended up using the whole thing in one bath though, it just all crumbled all at once, which was disappointing, I wish I'd bought more of these.

19. Lush Mum 'Yellow' Bath Bomb* - This bath bomb was so cute!! It had a little 'Thanks Mum' card in the middle and just smelt amazing as well. Lush nailed Mother's Day this year.

Body (and a little bit of Hair)

20. Shu Umera Colour Lustre Dry Cleaner - This was from the Japanese Maslow and Co box, which I was fairly disappointed with. Didn't actually finish this one, more of a toss because it just didn't work for me, I found my hair looking oilier after using it.

21. Co Lab Sheer and Invisible Dry Shampoo - Throwing it out for the same reason as the Shu Umera one, left my hair oilier than when I started.

22. Razor Alliance Razor Head* - Probably my favourite razor at the moment, they work so well. I am going to have to restock on Razor Heads soon!

23. Mitchum Advanced 48HR Protection Powder Fresh - This is my favourite deodorant ever. I know I should be all about the natural deodorants, but this is the only deodorant that actually makes me feel like I can go all day without feeling smelly or anything. Will always repurchase.

24. Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter (Deluxe Sample) - A light, hydrating body cream, it smells nice, but I wouldn't repurchase it again.

25. Arbonne SeaSource Renewing Body Geleé - This stuff is amazing through summer, especially when you get sunburn. It is cooling and hydrating, but not heavy. I will definitely be repurchasing this for summer!

26. MooGoo Skin Udder Cream* - One of my favourite moisturisers. It is hydrating, but not irritating. I am actually really bummed that I have run out! Would definitely repurchase. You can read more about it here

27. Soap and Glory Mini Hand Clean Maid - Probably one of my favourite hand sanitisers. Through winter, when my students are sick, I go through buckets of this stuff in an attempt to make it feel like I have clean hands. Plus it's super cheap!

28. Bump eRaiser Zesty Antibacterial Wash* - I really didn't love this stuff, the smell put me off so much. I also didn't notice it doing anything to my ingrown hairs either. I wouldn't repurchase.

30. Johnson's Baby Conditioning Shampoo - I love this stuff for cleaning my make up brushes. It's cheap and it works so well. Plus the conditioning component helps to leave my brushes super soft.

So there it is folks. My empties for the month of May. I don't know how I get through so many things, but it was another solid month. One of these month's it'll be tiny I swear...then it won't be as exciting though!

  4. Every single month, I have no idea how you do it, Laura! Maybe I'm just not taking care of my skin as much as I probably should haha but I love these posts and mini reviews. Tbh, I think empties post are the best kind of review posts because the real test is whether a person would buy the product again or not!

  6. I know how you feel - I'm wondering where the hell 2017 has gone to!

Yet again you've finished so much stuff! I used a bit of a Mitchum deodorant whilst away (I think it was the Clinical Protection one) & despite the powdery smell & not being natural, I really liked it! Certainly kept me dry. I'm going to start using it properly once I've finished my current one.
