Trash Talk || April Edition

Another month has flown by and we are ever closer to the end of 2017 (apologies if that terrifies you). That means it's time for another Trash Talk, where I share all the many products I went through this month. To answer any common questions: No, I don't know how I get through so many products...it just happens.

You know the drill. I'll keep my thoughts short and sweet, and let you know if I'd repurchase or nah. Let's just get stuck in already.

Skincare

1. Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels - Cooling and hydrating, these are lifesavers when my eyes are swollen and puffy! I would definitely repurchase at some stage, not right not though.

2. Chantecaille Biodynamic Lifting Mask (sample) - It was fine, nothing exciting and for $224 a pot, it's definitely not going on the 'to purchase' list...

3. Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in Honey - One of my favourite lip products, so hydrating and so delicious to use, especially when your lips are cracked. I will definitely be putting this on the repurchase list (I need to start that list...).

4. Transformulas Lip Volume* - I didn't notice any change in my lip volume, however this is a super hydrating lip product, which I loved just for that. No, I won't repurchase

5. Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask (deluxe sample) - One of my favourite overnight masks. Super hydrating and nourishing and perfect through winter. I just can't justify the price at the moment...otherwise I would repurchase.

6. Medik8 Hydr8 Eye 360* - One of my favourite eye creams that I have ever tried. It is gentle and hydrating and I actually noticed a change in how my eyes were looking while using this. I would definitely repurchase this.

7. Beenigma All In One Face Cream (deluxe sample) - Nope....did not like this at all. It was thick and just didn't feel right on my skin, I'm not sure why but I didn't like it. Also at $125, it's definitely not for me.

8. 2x It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream (deluxe sample) - It was a really nice moisturiser, hydrating and light, though it feels really thick when you apply it, but it just melts into the skin. Probably wouldn't repurchase it ever.

10. QV Face Rescue Gel - I almost always have a bottle of this in my drawer. When my skin is feeling particularly irritated, I apply some of this and my skin is instantly soothed.

11. L'Unico Laboratory Youth Essence Day Cream* (deluxe sample) - Not going to go into this, because there is a post coming, but I love this stuff and want more so badly.

12. L'Unico Laboratory Regenerative Neuropeptide Night Cream* (deluxe sample) - Basically ditto from above. More information coming soon!!

13. Patchology Smartmud Sheet Mask - I won't go to much into this one as I am thinking of doing a post about them, but I really enjoyed this and would definitely buy again!

14. Chantecaille Jasmine and Lily Healing Mask (delxue sample) - I love this mask so much. I've gone through about three samples and always love it. I wish I had the dollars to buy a full size.

Make Up

14. Maybelline Master Concealer - My absolute holy grail concealer! I already have two more tubes in the drawer ready to go! I stock up in every make up sale!

15. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge - I decided it was time to get rid of this...I have been using it for too long! I cut it open and there was one tiny spot, I don't know whether it was just dirty or mould, but hey it's gone now. I would definitely repurchase this.

16. IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream -  You guys know how much I love this I am sure. If not, read the review to hear all about how I love it. This is my third tube, so that is enough of a sign that I love it. I am loving another BB Cream at the moment though, so I won't be repurchasing it just yet.

17. Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil - Not so much an empty, but a fail/clean out product that I just had to get rid of. I bought it in the recently sale but it doesn't suit my eyebrow colour and I just don't love it.

18. Dazzshop Eyebrow Pencil - I received this in the Maslow and Co box and like the Rimmel, it's a fail/clean out product because it just didn't work for me, for much the same reasons as the Rimmel.

19. D.J.V Miray Fiberwig Mascara - Another miss product from Maslow and Co's Japan box. I found this mascara so hard to use and seeing as I have so many mascara's, I decided it was time to clean them out.

20. IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara - Another clean out for me. I love IT Cosmetics, don't get me wrong, but just not this mascara. It smudges so badly under my eyes, it is clumpy and hard to apply and just not for me. So in the trash it goes.

21. NYX Wonder Stick - I love this contour stick! It is one of my favourites. The highlight side broke fairly early on, but the contour side is the bomb.com. I love it. Will definitely repurchase at some stage.

Bath Products

(Yes it's so big this time, it gets it's own category).

21. The Body Shop Spa of The World Egyptian Milk and Honey Bath - Amazing, it is amazing! I have been through two bags of this now and still love it. If my skin is feeling dry or irritated, I pour some in the bath and jump in for half an hour or so, and then your skin will feel amazing. I definitely will repurchase.

22. Lush Ladybug Bubble Bar* - I think this was a Valentine's release? Anyway I just finished it. It was really nice and smelt delightful and lasted for soooo long, but I can't say I was bummed it was limited edition.

23. Lush Peeping Santa Bubble Bar - One of my favourite Christmas products, it is so cute and smells so nice. Again, this one lasts for many uses too! I love it. I have a couple more that I picked up at the Boxing Day sales too.

24. Lush Flowering Tea Bag - Another product from all the way back to Mother's Day last year, but it was at the bottom of my Lush basket and forgot about it. It has a very strong fragrance, which is great if you love flowers, but it isn't my favourite scent in the world!

25. Zoella Beauty Sugar Dip - Some of my favourite bath salts! I love these and the Sweet Inspirations range smells amazing. I believe I have another box in the cupboard as well, thankfully!

26. Zoella Beauty Scooper Dooper - If you're looking for a good bubble bath that makes soooo many bubbles and smells good, this is what you need. I love it and will definitely repurchase at some stage. I love Zoe's products though!

27. Zoella Gingerbread Foaming Bath - Another limited edition from Christmas. I love Zoe and I love her Gingerbread range and besides how difficult this was to get out of the bottle, I also loved this.

Body, Hair and Everything Else

28. Sunescape Triple Scented Soy Candle in Malibu Mist - This candle reminds me of the beach and summer. It is so fresh and smells delicious. If I didn't have so many candles already, I would totally buy another!

29. Coles Acetone Nail Polish Remover - Just one of those things you need to have in the cupboard, especially with fake nails. It is just one of those things.

30. The Body Shop Almond Milk and Honey Soothing and Restoring Body Lotion - My new holy grail body moisturiser I think. It smells so good!! If you haven't smelt the Almond Milk and Honey range, you need to, because ooooh my it's good! My sensitive skin loves it and it keeps my legs so hydrated as well. Definitely need to buy the whole range.

31. bhave Rescue Conditioner* - You all should know that this is my holy grail hair care product/range. I love the Rescue shampoo and conditioner, I don't think my hair would feel as amazing without it! I already have another bottle ready to go.

32. Razor Alliance Razor Head - I am a clutz and dropped it in the shower...oops...but these are some of my favourite razors, luckily I have enough stashed up to keep me going!

33. Bondi Wash Tasmanian Pepper and Lavender* (sample) - A really nice body wash. I didn't get much more than one use out of it, so I can't really say, but it smelt nice!

34. The Body Shop Spa of the World African Ximenia Scrub - It comes in such a big jar, but it's finally done. I loved this scrub. It was creamy and gentle and left my skin feeling lovely.

35. Daiso Detergent for Puff and Sponge - This is my favourite way to clean my Beauty Blenders. It works wonders and I need more....can Daiso open up in Canberra? Or someone send me some?

So yea...it was another big one. Sure, there were a couple of clean out products mixed in there too, but still mostly all empties. I definitely got through a lot of favourites this month, which was a little bit disappointing, but it's exciting to have some more room in my bathroom I guess.

  7. You're always killing it with the empties!

I'm still kinda keen to try the iT Cosmetics CC cream, but I want a sample first to see how my skin deals with it. I have tested it & felt a sensation from the lemon scent, but thankfully it died down quickly. Ah I love me some bhave hair products!

  8. Wowzers! So many empties! I def spy a few favourites especially the It Cosmetics CC Cream and Confidence in a Cream. I found it a little thick too which is why I tend to use the cream more before I go to bed so it acts as a mask at night :) x

  9. Amazing effort! I can only find the brown bottle of brush cleanser from Daiso, but the Puff & Sponge is the one I want to try. Also, this just reminds me I used my Lush Peeping Santa all at once recently. It only occurred to me when I read your post that it's reusable. OOPS! Haha.

  10. Holy moly you used a lot of products in April! There are a few things here that I'm super interested in trying for myself. The Body Shop's Milk and Honey Bath would be at the top of that list. It sounds so luxurious! I've also been a fan of QV's Gentle Cleanser for a few years now, so I'm really keen to give their Face Rescue Gel a try too.

  13. As always, what a wrap up of products. Great selection, love the abundance of Zoella products, I've been wanting to try out more of her range. Reading your post I actually noticed that I've had my beauty blender for while, and I should probably purchase a new one too. hahaha

  14. Gah! Another big effort. I wish I had a sephora near me so I could get a sample of the CC cream to try. And I always forget to keep my lush packets for bubble bars and what not for photos because I always forget to include them in my empties
