NIVEA SUN Protect & Moisture

8:30 am

Being on holidays in sunny QLD, I knew I had to stock up on sunscreen. I vowed to myself that I would NOT get sunburnt while away. That I meant I had to stock up on some good quality sunscreen. What I needed: something with a high SPF rating, but also was gentle on the skin, because as you all probably know - eczema/sensitive skin. NIVEA's SUN Protect fit both of those categories perfectly!

NIVEA is the world's number 1 sunscreen brand which released their first sun protection product with UV filters back in 1933. In all their testing, one of the big things they decided was important was include moisturising qualities in their sunscreens, to both protect and hydrate. That's exactly what NIVEA has done with their sunscreen lotions, creating products that are light, non-greasy and fast-absorbing. Providing the perfect balance of UV protection and hydration that feel great on the skin. NIVEA uses highly effective UVA and UVB filters to shield the skin from sun damage, as well as the moisturising formula including Panthenol, Vitamin E and Glycerin help keep the skin hydrated for up to 24 hours and therefore less vulnerable to sun damage.

I have taken two different sorts of NIVEA SUN Protect and Moisture lotions away on holiday with me to cover all my bases.

NIVEA SUN Protect & Moisture Moisturising Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50*

I have two bottles of this away with me. One is a 100ml tube, so I can always have some sunscreen in my handbag, to never be caught off guard, and also a 400ml bottle to make sure we always apply the sunscreen before leaving our cabin.

I love this sunscreen, it is one of my favourites. It is light-weight, easy to massage into the skin and works well. I apply (well try to) this sunscreen 20 minutes before leaving the house, and being the OCD person I am, I reapply every 2 or so hours, more often when swimming. I feel confident going out into the sun, that my skin will be well protected. It is also super hydrating! If I know I'm going to be outside all day, I just use this as my moisturiser as well, because two birds with one stone, and all that stuff, plus it works well to restore hydration to myself. All without irritating my sensitivity.

For less than $21, you can have yourself a bottle of this sunscreen lotion, that will keep you hydrated and protected all day.

NIVEA SUN Protect & Light Feel Daily Face Veil SPF 30*

I am one of those people who doesn't like to use normal sunscreen on my face (weird...I know). Mainly because I find them too thick and heavy on the skin, clogging my pores and making me break out. The number of sunscreens designed purely for the face have made it much easier for me to still apply sun protection to my face.

NIVEA's SUN Protect & Light Feel Daily Face Veil is absolutely perfect for the face. Doubling as a moisturiser for the face, it is light-weight and designed to protect your face from harmful UVA and UVB ray's and fight the premature signs of ageing.

What I love most about this, is that you can apply it under make up, as the last step in your skincare routine and be protected from the sun. It is so light, but also really hydrating. It doesn't clog your pores the way I have found other sunscreens do. Since discovering this sunscreen, I have honestly been applying it everyday before I go out. I feel much more confident that I am protecting my skin from the sun, to keep it healthier for longer.

I am loving this new sunscreen range from NIVEA. I feel that they have nailed what the market is in need of, especially with the Daily Face Veil. If you are looking for a good quality sunscreen, that leaves your skin feeling amazing, definitely check out NIVEA's SUN Protect and Moisture range.

  3. Totally agree! I was also in Queensland over the break and the sun was so hot. All attempts not to get burnt and suncream played a big part of that!

  4. I'm really into sunscreen and use it everday of the year! The Face Veil seems pretty nice! I'll have a look in store. I'm using Innisfree Triple Care at the moment and really like it because it's 100% mineral and works great with my sensitive skin ;)
