My Favourite Aussie Brands

8:30 am

Happy Australia Day, fellow Australians! It is that time of year, where we must don our Aussie singlets and thongs, stand by the barbie, with a beer in hand. (Please note: I do none of this on Australia Day, but the stereotype seemed fitting). To get into the Australian spirit, I thought it was only fair to share some my favourite Australian brands. I mean, Australia is so full of amazing brands, both big and small, and as you should all know by now, I love to share Australian brands on my blog! Let's just get to it!!!

Harper Cosmetics*

Harper Cosmetics was born following a long time love affair with quality eyeshadow palettes containing high pigments and a range of colour options. They create (very) large eyeshadow palettes, that have a variety of colours with great pigment, designed for the make up artist, or just every day use. This is a new discovery for me! I recently received the Sydney S16 palette to try out and I have been amazed. I am not going to go into too much detail here, as I have a full blog post about the palette coming out next week, but safe to say - I'm impressed and definitely recommend you check out this brand. Also, FYI, you can get them 15% off by using the code: lifeoflaura15 (and no, I don't make money from you buying them, so you should do it!)

 Scrubba Body*

Born and raised in New South Wales, Scrubba Body creates affordable, natural and cruelty free products. I have been a huge fan of Scrubba Body ever since I tried their Citrus Coffee Scrub a few months ago. At the time, they were just doing coffee scrubs, but they have now created a variety of other products - Goats Milk Soap, Candles and Melts! They make amazing quality products that are fantastic in every way. If you want soaps that smell great but are perfect for sensitive skin, then you should definitely try Scrubba Body. Definitely one of my favourite Australian brands!

Julisa Nail Polish

Want a gorgeous manicure without going to the salon? But worried about cheap and nasty nail polish that chips the next day? Well then you really need to try Julisa's nail polish. Their nail polish is made from a 5-Free formula (meaning: NO formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate, toluene, formaldehyde resin and camphor). Added bonus? They give 5% of their profits to environmental sustainability initiatives. It is honestly the best nail polish I've ever used.

Beach Road Naturals*

Another recent discovery, that I am insanely in love with. This comes from a girl who typically doesn't like using bar soap. Based on Sydney's Northern Beaches they were inspired by a love for travel and the beach. Using natural ingredients they make amazing Coconut Oil Body Bars, as well as Body Oils. If you want to hear about how much I love them, you can read my blog post about them here.

bhave Haircare*

If you've followed me for a while, you will already know that I have a very strong love affair with bhave. Before I found them I was a lost soul, with no idea how to tame my hair or make it soft to touch. Now, my hair is strong and luscious and finally has had life brought back to it. In all honesty, I would be lost with out bhave in my life. And yes, it is on the pricier side, but I can not look back now that I've started. My hair will never be the same. If you want to read a review on a large variety of bhave's products, you can! You just have to click here.

Belle Botanicals

Probably my favourite Australian skincare brand. Another natural skincare range (there seems to be a theme here...) which makes amazing affordable skincare for all skin types. Started by Husband and Wife team, Matt and Jacinta, they aim to make the highest quality of skincare, at a price that won't break the bank. I am a huge face mask fan (as you have probably all realised) and Belle Botanicals makes my absolute favourite face mask. Again, I did a full review here, if you're interested.

So there it is, my current favourite Australian beauty brands! I hope you have all have a great Australia Day! I love you to share some of your favourite Australian brands below for me to discover!!

  5. Love me some bhave products! I've decided to go back to using the rescue shampoo & conditioner as nothing I've been using compares to them. So good!

Also love quite a number of Australian brands - I'm a fan of Kester Black's nail polishes & INIKA's mineral foundation, just to name a couple. We have some great beauty brands in this country & quite a few of them are up the natural beauty alley, which is great since that's what I'm about!
