asap Skincare

asap is Australia's number one cosmeceutical skin care range, offering scientifically proven skin care solutions for women and men of all skin types. asap is proudly 100% Australian owned and aims to provide simple, affordable and effective skincare with fast-acting results. I have been seeing so much from the brand lately and so many people have been raving about the brand, so I was super excited when RY let me try them out!

Daily Facial Cleanser*

This cleanser is the perfect, every day cleanser. It cleanses the skin really well, to remove make up, dirt and grim from the skin to leave you feeling refreshed and clean, all without stripping or irritating the skin. It uses White Tea, which has antioxidant with anti-ageing qualities, as well as one of my current favourite ingredients - Glycolic Acid.

I am really enjoying this cleanser. Being lightweight and gentle, making it is great for all skin types. I do struggle to describe the consistency of this cleanser, it's not quite a gel, but it's also not quite a cream, it's kind of in the middle somewhere. It does a good job of cleansing the skin without stripping it or leaving you feeling dry and uncomfortable. Is it amazingly special? In my opinion no, it's just another good, simple cleanser, but we all need a good, simple cleanser in our life.

Daily Exfoliating Scrub*

asap Daily Exfoliating Facial Scrub is scientifically formulated to promote cell renewal and stimulate collagen, improving the appearance and texture of the skin. Using smooth round beads and AHA's it is designed to gently remove dead skin cells and exfoliate the skin.

This is probably my favourite product out of all the asap products I have been trying out. It is a brilliant gentle exfoliant. While it says it uses 'beads', they are not harmful beads, instead they are gentle grains that get in and exfoliate the skin, without (again) stripping the skin or leaving you feeling rubbed raw. It is gentle enough for every day use, but I still tend to only use it two or three times a week. It leaves your skin feel soft and smooth. I have noticed that my skin tone has been evening out and my skin looking somewhat brighter since I started to use this exfoliant as well.

Super B Complex*

Containing Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) to boost collagen production and reduce pigmentation, Hyaluronic Acid for 5 times the moisturising power and 50 times the moisture retaining properties to substantially boost skin hydration as well as vitamins B5 and B9 plus additional active ingredients to improve skin tone and visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Helps regulate sebum production and reduce appearance of redness including acne skin types.

I have found this a really interesting product. It is designed to provide a high level of hydration to dry skin, working particularly well for flaky skin. However, it also works to regulate sebum production and reduce redness, making it a good product for acne. Why do I find this interesting? Because being an acne suffer who doesn't have super oily skin I find it so hard to find acne products that don't dry out my skin. I tend to have dry/combination skin and acne treatments tend to dry my skin out. While I haven't noticed a change in my acne or a reduction in the redness in my skin, this serum does wonders for hydrating your skin. It is described as a gel, but it has the consistency of an oil and gives your skin a super boost of hydration. I think this product is going to be amazing during winter.

Moisturising Daily Defence SPF50+*

Asap Moisturizing Daily Defense SPF50+ is scientifically formulated to replenish essential moisture, leaving skin soft and supple, while providing broad spectrum protection from harmful UVA/UVB rays which can aid in the prevention of premature skin ageing.

Was a super excited about this moisturiser? After hearing the hype, I wanted to be, but in all honesty I wasn't. Why? I didn't find it to be anything special. Look, don't get me wrong it is so hydrating and gentle on the skin. It has been such a fantastic, simple moisturiser. Much like the cleanser it is a simple product that does what it says, but with the frills. I do love that it has SPF of 50 in it though. I think that is the highest SPF rating I have seen in a moisturiser (well one I've used anyway), I usually see 20 or 30. So that is a huge plus for me and it is definitely a moisturiser I will use through summer. So yes, I like it, but I don't think it's anything super special, except for the SPF.

My final verdict on these products? I do like them all, despite saying they weren't anything super special or anything, I think they are fantastic, simple products. You don't always need super fancy products that claim to do hundreds of things, you always need some simple products in your cupboard that you can trust to work for your skin. I am also a huge fan of the fact that the moisturiser is SPF 50+!

Have you tried any asap products before? Whats your favourite product?

  1. I think Super B complex is a nice product since it contains hyloronic acid and vitamins. I don't think we should use a "daily" exfoliant since excessive exfoliation can harm the skin.
Good to read another Ausi skincare brand. Australian companies are really expanding wings these days!

  13. These look great - I often kind that when it comes to skincare, simple products that work well are the best. The Super B Complex sounds great - I've got super dry but acne prone skin too so I'd be interested in giving it a go.
