reCLAYm Rejuvenating Pink Aussie Clay Mask

8:30 am

As anyone who has followed my blog for a while will know, I freaking love face masks. They are literally one of my favourite aspects of skincare. I find it so relaxing to wear a face mask and just forget about what is going on around me. I have been trying out some reCLAYm face masks recently and I wanted to share them with you today!

reCLAYm is an Australian face mask company, that believe the best things are already made by nature – just like we are ourselves. They have harnessed nature's offerings to include in your beauty routine. The benefits of clay have been seen in natural spas, so why not include these in our daily routines? Made from all natural, vegan these masks work to help detox, hydrate, cleanse and rejuvenate your skin. They contain no synthetics, or animal products, so they are perfect for all skin types, especially sensitive.

Rejuvenating Pink Aussie Clay with CoQ10*

What should we expect from this face mask? 'A whole lot of skin rejuvenating, cleansing & toning of your connective tissues. At the same time it’ll focus on hydrating, skin firming & fine line smoothing (so you’ll look really, really good). It also amazing at drawing toxins out of your pores. With Coenzyme Q10 for a fresh glow, as well as oatmeal to soothe it.

Sounds amazing right? I've been using these face masks for a bit over a week (three uses, one every 4 or 5 days) and I have to say, I really like them. It's not hard to find me over with a good face mask, but these are really unique and do exactly what they say.

What you get: A box containing 3 small jars and a mixing spoon. Each jar is a one use pot, that you add a little bit of water (or coconut oil for extra hydration), stir it up, then apply it to your skin. As simple as that!

I love that they come with individual jars for individual use. So many times I apply, or squeeze out too much face mask, or can't get the last bit. At least with these you know that you won't have too much or too little for each face masking session. It's such a great idea! reCLAYm is really onto something with their packaging!

Now when you go to turn the powder into a clay, I would recommend using a teaspoon to mix the water in. I use about 2 teaspoons, but always start with 1 to be safe. If you don't add enough water, it will be much too thick and powdery. You want to get a smooth clay texture to apply to your face - it'll be thick, but smooth when it's ready.

You'll also know when it's ready to remove because it will set, and become a bit powdery and crumbly. I always thoroughly wet my face, to help with the crumbly-ness and then use a face washer to remove it. Yes, the face washer is going to be a mess, but I promise you it's the easiest way to remove the mask.

As for the mask it self - safe to say I love it. It is completely different to any face mask I've tried. It feels like it gets right into your pores and sucks out all the gunk to leave your skin feeling soft and refreshed. After reading their website I decided on the second one, I'd pop a little bit of coconut oil in when I was stirring the powder. I definitely recommend this if you are having issues with dry skin too!! It works wonders, I was so impressed by how much more hydrated my skin felt and looked.

I have been really impressed with this face mask and the concept that reCLAYm has about their face mask. It is so unique and different to anything that I've tried before, but I am now a huge fan.
