Dermalogica FaceFit

Welcome to Blogmas Day 2!

Ever been on a lunch break and thought to yourself 'I wish I could get a facial...' but you only have an hour, or even a half hour break? Well have I found the treatment for you! Dermalogica has just launched their new FaceFit Treatments, a range of curated express facial treatments designed to instantly boost skin radiance, hydration and create a noticeably glowing complexion. A ten minute treatment, designed to fit in to a busy lifestyle, costs you only $15 and is completely redeemable on products.

Last week I went along to my local Dermalogica at David Jones for a FaceFit session*. The first part of the treatment involves a Face Mapping session to work out my skin type. In a Face Mapping session a Dermalogica Professional Skin Therapist divides your face into fourteen zones, examining each through touch and sight to highlight areas of congestion, breakouts, dehydration and/or hyperpigmentation. My major areas of issue were around my chin, lip and in between my eyebrows, which are all prone to breakouts. From that analysis we decided to choose the Power Peel to achieve smooth and glowing skin in ten minutes. Picking products that suited my skin type and needs the whole way through.

Starting with Precleanse (one of my favourites) my therapist removed all my make up, following with the Special Cleansing Gel as a second cleanse. Next was exfoliation, which was with the Daily Resurfacer, a leave-on exfoliating treatment. With alpha and beta hydroxy acids and enzymes it will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth. I loved that it didn't have that graininess of usual exfoliants that sometimes feel like it is tearing at your skin. It was gentle and I can promise you, my skin felt amazing afterwards! For a refreshing burst of hydration, she chose the Skin Hydrating Masque with these two amazing, refreshing massage balls (I forgot what they were called, but I want some for my home masking...). 15 minutes later she finished off with some Hydrablur Primer and some Sheer Tint to hide any redness. She handed me a couple of samples of the products she thought would help with my acne, and then I was on my way!

Safe to say, my skin felt INCREDIBLE afterwards. Who knew a short, ten minute facial session would leave me feeling so refreshed, and my skin feeling so amazing. If you're looking for a quick treatment, I'd definitely recommend checking out the Dermalogica FaceFit Treatments. They have six different options, all will be tailored to suit your skin type. For $15, they are amazing value for money and worth every cent. If you are going in to restock on a product, or just need a lunchtime pick me up you definitely need to book one of these in!

  1. Sounds lovely! I had my first ever facial this year & enjoyed it. I'd always shied away from it due to having sensitive skin & the fear of a reaction, but luckily my therapist tailored it to suit my skin type. That combined with the massage I got at the same time made me feel like a new woman!
