Trash Talk: October Edition

Another month is gone and it's come to that time again: Trash Talk Time! It's another huge month of empties, but I want to just let you all know that you HAVE to read to the end to find out about my November Trash Talk Challenge! But let's get straight into the empties.

Skincare

1. The Body Shop Drops of Youth Youth Cream: I love the bouncy mask, but I found this moisturiser broke me out, so I used it on my neck instead. It doesn't leave your skin feeling and looking really good, so I'm undecided.

2. Chantecaille Jasmine Lily Healing Mask (Deluxe Sample): I loveee this mask, it leaves your skin feeling amazing. I'm so excited to have another sample thanks to my Beauty Loop Box. If it wasn't so expensive I would definitely repurchase.

3. L'Occitane Divine Youth Oil (Deluxe Sample): I can't say I saw any changes in my skin while using this. It's a highly scented face oil, which I didn't enjoy. I prefer face oils that aren't super perfumed. I wouldn't repurchase this.

4. L'Oreal Gentle Eye Make Up Remover: I've heard mixed reviews about this eye make up remover, lots of people say they find it leaves a really oily residue left on their face, but I didn't find that. I think the Garnier one leaves more oil than this one. I actually really enjoy this one. Would definitely repurchase!

5. Verso Super Eye Serum: I really liked this eye cream. It is light, but hydrating. It is a bit too expensive, so I wouldn't repurchase it. I also have to say, this sample packet design was awesome!

6. Kiko Mini Pure Clean Wipes: I love these face wipes, I'm so disappointed that you can't get this brand in Australia. I'll have to go back to Italy to repurchase these.

7. Goldfaden MD Vital Boost Moisturiser (Deluxe Sample): Why do I always find amazing mositurisers that are so expensive...It was so lovely and I want to repurchase it, but money...

8. Cleanse By Lauren Napier (The Weekly): Such a genius idea these face wipes. They are individual packed in a ziplock bag, so you can chuck these in your handbag for a trip or a cheeky night away when you might need to remove your make up. They are such lovely face wipes too! So Luxe!

9. Swisspers Green Tea Cleansing Facial Wipes: Gentle, but thorough. These are good quality face wipes.

10. Nip and Fab Dragon Blood Cleansing Pads: I loveee these pads! I use them after I've cleansed almost as a second (or third) cleanse/tone. They leave my skin feeling soooo fresh! I really want to try the Glycolic pads next.

11. Avene Tolerance Extreme Creme (Deluxe Sample): If you have sensitive or eczema prone skin you need this! I found it particularly useful for where I had itchy patches that were dry and scaly. It helped to keep them in check while reducing the itch.

12. Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cream (Deluxe Sample): For $94 I can't say I was very impressed by this product. It was nice, but wasn't flash and I don't know I could justify that much money on.

13. Wot Not Sensitive Face Wipes: Gentle, effective and completely organic. I love these.

14. Mecca Kissable Lips: Not my favourite lip scrub, I wouldn't repurchase this product, but hey it does work and does a good job, I'm always just so unsure about lip scrubs.

Face Masks

15. Gold and Zero Gold Snail Mask: My least favourite mask from the Maslow and Co box. Gave great results, my skin felt amazing afterwards, but there was something I just didn't like about it, make the smell or something, I don't know.

16. Besone Pink Clay Mask: My favourite mask from the Maslow and Co box. It is like using a clay mask but in sheet form and it leaves your skin feeling absolutely amazing. I love that is is in two parts (the top half of your face and the bottom), means it fits way better. Would definitely repurchase.

17. Mizon Firming Mask: This is another great face mask, I liked it less because it wasn't in two parts so it didn't fit as well, but it does leave your skin feeling soft and firm. I'd consider repurchasing.

18. Half Moon Pinky Fruity Wash Off Mask: I'm still unsure about this one. The texture is really thick and it feels a little too tingly for my liking. I loveeee the smell though. It had the least noticeable results for me out of all the masks from M&C. I wouldn't repurchase this one.

19. Neogen Mexican Aloe Essential Mask: Being an aloe mask it was very calming and gentle. I can't say I saw immediate results from using this one like I did the others, so I probably wouldn't repurchase this one.

20. Mecca Lit From Within Sheet Mask: My new favourite sheet mask! It is in two parts and fits my face better than ANY face mask I've tried. It's not a cotton mask, it's kind of more of a rubber type mask, but it's amazing. I love it. I want another 10.

21. Caolin Fresh Hydro Sheet Mask: I wasn't too sure about this one. It didn't leave my skin feeling wow, but it was hydrating.

22. Trefiel Moisturising Mask: I won't go in to this one too much (because it has it's own dedicated post), but it is beautiful, hydrating and sooo generous with product. Highly recommend.

23. Trefiel Repairing Mask: I think I like this one even more than the Moisturising one. It feels very similar to the moisturising one, but I feel like my skin was much softer afterwards!

24. Papa Recipe Honey Mask: Probably my favourite (after the Mecca one) of all the masks I tried this month. Hydrating, gentle and soothing. I think it would be perfect for dehydrated skin. Definitely would like to repurchase.

Haircare

25. Original Minerals Seven Day Miracle Moisture Masque: This masque is amazing! It smells like caramel, leaves your hair feeling refreshed and hydrated and soft. Would definietly repurchase!

26. Klorane Oil Control Nettle Shampoo: I've gone through a few of these now and I've begun to like it less and less. It does help with my oil, but it doesn't smell great and I find it is hard to get a good lather through my thick hair.

27. Soap and Glory Glad Hair Day Shampoo: An affordable shampoo that leaves your hair feeling soft and clean! It's not the flashest shampoo, but for $9 it does a great job! I love Soap and Glory!

28. Sheer Heaven Hair Treatment: This stuff is seriously amazing. My hair has never felt so good. Jump on their website and request a sample, you HAVE to try this!!

29. Aveda Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment (Deluxe Sample): This is the first part of the Aveda Damage Remedy repair products and you apply this to wet hair. I can't say I noticed any changes in my hair, so I'm not prepared to repurchase.

30. Aveda Damage Repair Split End Remedy (Deluxe Sample): This one you apply to dry hair, but I didn't notice any difference with this one either.

Make Up

31. Benefit They're Real Mascara (Mini): It's a great mascara! I find that it does smudge under my eyes, which is frustrating. That is the main reason I wouldn't repurchase. If you want WOW eye lashes, then you should definitely try this!

32. Benefit Ka Brow! (Deluxe Sample): I love the Benefit brow range and this product is great too! It is so pigmented and easy to apply. I prefer a brow pencil, so that is the only reason I wouldn't repurchase this.

33. Kiko Ultimate Pen Long Wear Eyeliner: A great eyeliner, I was disappointed that it dried out. Now that I've found my Stila eyeliner though I don't think anything will ever beat it.

34. Adorn Matte Setting Powder (Deluxe Sample): I really want to purchase a full size of this product. I've never used a loose setting powder, but I am well and truly won over on this one. It set my make up with a matte, yet glowing finished AND it lasted all day.

35. Hourglass Ambient Light Correcting Primer (Deluxe Sample): I love this primer. It honestly makes my skin look like it doesn't need any foundation - AMAZING!!

36. Mecca Complexion Perfection Primer (Deluxe Sample): I'm not going to lie, this primer makes you look a bit like a bright green ogre. It is hydrating and a good primer, but I wouldn't repurchase it because of the green colouring.

37. Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil: This is one of my favourite Brow products! It is long lasting and easy to get a defined line. I'm already on my second one!

Body Care and Other Cosmetics

38. Lush Christingle Body Conditioner: This is an empty from LAST Christmas (I know...what the hell Laura, use your products up faster!) and at the time I loved it. The more I used it the more I felt like it didn't really do a whole lot for me. It smells amazing and does help with skin hydration, but it's not my favourite Lush product anymore.

39. Nutrimetics Botanicals Energising Shower Gel (Pomegranate): An amazing smell body wash! It's not my favourite, but does a good job!

40. Mecca Transforming Hand Cream: This was my Mecca Beauty Loop birthday present last year and it has become one of, if not my all time favourite hand cream. It is so hydrating without the greasy residue and it smells amazing! Would definitely repurchase.

41. Soap and Glory Flake Away: A gentle, but good scrub thats affordable. Not my favourite scrub, but I would repurchase.

42. The Body Shop Polynesian Island TiarĂ© Fragrance: TBS does amazing fragrances, and I loved sampling this fragrance. It's not exactly my scent, but I noticed they had some new perfumes come out and I've already found the one I want to try next!!

43. Heal Balm Platinum: It is so thick...foot balms are so thick, I think that is why I don't like them or use them. I prefer to use a body scrub and then a hand or body moisturiser instead because it's a little less thick.

Bath Products

44. Lush Shoot For The Stars: My absolute favourite bath bomb from the new Christmas range! So disappointed it's been sold out since I bought it. It smells amazing, glittery and hydrating. If you can get your hands on it, buy 10.

45. Lush Big Bang Bubble Bar: This wasn't my favourite bubble bar. It didn't have a strong smell and it's the first bath product I've ever had that faded in colour before I used it and it wasn't even out in the sun! I'm not sure about this one.

44. Lush Yuzu and Cocoa Bubbleroon: This is one of my favourite scents. I love the bubbleroons because they are so easy to use more than once. Would definitely repurchase.

My November Trash Talk Challenge

The past couple of months have been huge empties for me. I don't honestly know how I do it, but I have. I just try to use a lot of samples and finish products before I start new ones (and no I don't use them excessively).

Anyway, my challenge to you in the month of November is to see how many empties you can accumulate! Can you beat my record of 40? I would love to see how many empties you get in a month and I would absolutely love to see if someone could beat my record!

Comment below at the end of the November, share on Instagram by tagging me (@the.life.of.laura) and use the hashtag: #TLOLTrashTalkChallenge.
