What's in my bag?!

I often get asked about friends and family what is in my huge brown make up case that I carry almost everywhere with me. So I thought I'd share it with everyone! So what is in my bag? What are the essential items that I must always have with me? Now is the time to find out!!!

The case that I carry everything around in is actually a make up brush case from Nude By Nature, the case that came with the Essential Collection Brush Set. It is just the perfect size to fit all my goodies I carry around with me.

First off are the basic hygiene and medical things I guess. I always carry a packet of tissues with me, currently I am carrying a pack that I got from Cotton On for $1 as apart of their Charity Cosmetics range. You never know when you're going to get stuck without tissues, desperate to blow your nose! I also always have a few Band Aids, some fabric ones, particularly used for blisters. I often end up with blisters during work from doing lots of walking with shoes that are not super comfortable... Also some painkillers, usually ibuprofen of some sort as panadol doesn't do a lot for me. I am a constant sufferer of headaches and if I get stuck without painkillers I will be unable to cope with the day if a headache comes on. Everyone always knows to come see me if they are in pain too, so it's a win win for everyone. Last for this section is a microfibre cloth to clean my glasses. Any glasses wearer will know how annoying dirty glasses are, so I always carry something to clean them. Sometimes I carry wet wipes designed for cleaning glasses, but more often I just have the regular microfibre cloth.

Bobby pins and hair ties are always a must as well. I have a little plastic container that I carry bobby pins and hair ties in so I have some on my if my hair is annoying me. It's also a good way to store bobby pins if I decide to take my hair out during the day and have excess bobby pins, rather than randomly throwing them in the bottom of my bag!

To keep my skin hydrated and refreshed during the day I carry a few different skincare products in my bag as well. First off is the Soap and Glory Mini Hand Clean Maid hand antibacterial gel. This year I told myself I would be more hygienic in the attempt to get sick less this year. I picked this one up when I needed $5 to get free postage on Mecca. It smells amazing and it actually makes me love using it! I usually follow it with some hand cream as well (not pictured) which recently has been the Mecca Transforming Hand Cream because it leaves my hands feeling like velvet and smelling divine! Since I got back from Sydney, I've also been carrying around the Mario Badescu Rosewater Spray. It has been such a great way to refresh and hydrate my skin throughout the day.

I usually always carry a concealer too, in case I need to touch up throughout the day, particularly if my mascara smudges under my eyes or if I have a particularly big pimple. Lately I have almost always had the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in the shade Light on me. It is super creamy and easy to apply and blend during the day. I occasionally carry the NARS creamy concealer in the shade Chantilly for under my eyes. I have also been carrying one of my Manicare Precision Blending sponge to help blend in as well.

I carry a fair few things with me, but I find it always keeps me covered no matter the situation or the problem.

Have I missed anything on my list? What do you carry in your bag?

xx

  4. Nice one Laura! Love that little bobby pin box, that's a great idea. My bag has so many things in it, including cold sore and blister patches, plus one of every makeup item I could possible need. Oh and a comb ♥♥♥

  5. I found out the horror of not carrying concealer with me when I had a makeup disaster on the train!! Happened just this weekend. I had to duck into Priceline before attending the event I was going to. Never again!

    1. I know that horror all too well!! I really need to purchase a second concealer so I can have one in my bag and one in the bathroom!! Nothing worse than not having one when you need it...
