Why a face mask should be your best friend - PART TWO

So last week I told you that you most definitely should have a face mask as a part of your weekly skincare routine. Well, in my second part I want to tell you about my favourite face masks, that I use on a regular basis!

Origins Clear Improvement

Lets start with my absolute favourite face mask! I bought this face mask in January and have basically used all of it now, there is a tiny bit left, but I desperately need to replace it. It was this product that really did any thing for me.

"Nature's complexion clean-up crew clears the way for skin to act its best. Bamboo Charcoal acts like a magnet to draw out deep-dwelling pore-cloggers, White China Clay absorbs environmental toxins, Lecithin dissolves impurities. Skin looks clear, feels perfectly pure."

Since I bought it I have been putting this mask on my face at least once (sometimes twice) a week and I noticed amazing improvements after the first use. I typically wear mine for 20 minutes, sometimes more, and it sets like cement on your face, when it starts to crack everywhere you know its time to take it off! My skin is instantly softer after and any spots I had clear up within a day or two afterwards. It's the perfect fix when you notice you're getting some spots and helps them clear out within days. I don't think I can recommend this face mask more. It has helped to clear my skin and leaves it soft and fresh. You can pick this wonderful product up at Mecca in two sizes - 100ml for $37 and 50ml for $25 (get the bigger one, so worth it!)

Arbonne Face Masks
Another face mask I quite like using is the Arbonne Sea Source Face Mask. This face mask is super thick, like mud, so it can be a bit of work to both put on and take off. Be warned: this face mask will make your face sting and tingle, which for some can be quite overwhelming, but it will leave your skin super soft! I find I can only handle using this face mask once a month, but since I bought the Origins one I have been avoiding it even more. But don't take this badly! It is still an amazing product, but I find that I don't get the same amazing results as Origins. This face mask is a little pricier then Origins, sitting at $49, but it is a good luxury item to feel like you are at a day spa!

There are two other masks that Arbonne make which I do love are their overnight masks. Overnight masks are perfect for those who don't have the time to sit with a normal face mask on for 30 minutes, super easy and convenient. I would strongly urge you to include one of these in you skincare regime along with a mud mask, or similar. Unfortunately there is one you cannot get anymore as it was limited edition, but the other is a part of their new Clear Future range. Both are amazing for those who find their skin gets quite dry, or if you just want a little extra moisture I would highly recommend these. The Clear Future overnight mask is a gel, which sits on the skin lightly, much like a moisturiser. It is perfect if you need a cooling or calming lotion for red skin or blemishes. At $34 it is a reasonable item to use two to three times a week to re-nourish your skin. Overnight masks are perfect for those who don't have the time to sit with a normal face mask on for 30 minutes, super easy and convenient.

Frank Original Coffee Body Scrub

Now this one might seem a bit weird as a face mask, but I recently tried Frank's Original Body Scrub as a face mask as a part of their 29 day challenge and oh my god, the results were amazing! Much like Origins, this scrub left my skin suppppper soft and helped to clear up some of those pesky spots I'd developed from my chocolate binge (don't give in to the chocolate, no matter how much it screams at you from the fridge...). Frank also has a creamy face scrub (as you will remember from my earlier post) which will leave your skin super soft as well, but I was pleasantly surprised by the results! It is a mess, I would recommend not doing this out of the shower, because your bathroom floor will end up covered in coffee, but it leaves your skin amazingly soft!

Some of my other loves are from Lush, but I currently don't have any! Do you have any others that I have missed? Let me know! I love trying out new face masks (you'll quickly learn that face masks are my favourite part of skincare).
